These stupid simple rumors amaze me. It’s understandable for the QB position, but for a DB to pick another school because of another player at his position is silly to me. I would hope that there’s a lot more that goes into a decision.

Ried has completely droped UF now. He says Meyer treated him like crap during his official visit because he had pulled his commit and was looking around.

Meyer needs to watch his temper/EGO, other recruits are beginning to see how he treats people who “cross” him and how everything is about Urban and Urban only.

There is no doubt Meyer is a great coach and has put together a great team at Florida, but if he continues to alienate people with his attitude and ego, those two crystal trophies will only be worth so much once “superman” is gone.

recruitnik is right. reid will not got to uf. no chance in hell!! uf fans can thank their coach for that. tenn, fsu , miami or uga with fsu and uga in the lead for now. kid loves this attention who knows where he will go. you can bet your sweet a#$ it is not uf.

Are you not man enough to show who you’re true team is? I do wish people on here would quit showing their ignorance.

Richt/Meyer have went head to head in recruiting and Richt has won his share. Even this year, both went after the #2 QB in the country who was within an hour from Gainesville, can anyone remind me what school he picked? Or any players from Daytona/St Augustine that has picked UGA over Fla lately?

And what will Kiffin do once he can’t ride on his daddy’s coat tail? Name one big time recruit in the top 50 that he has secured with his ‘recruiting gurus’ at Tn. So please post facts or just shut up and keep wishing Richt and UGA would go away.

UGA is not a program for the fairweather fans to just jump on a “bandwagon” when they win the SEC then turn on when they lose a couple of games. Ive been a DAWG since before i was born iam a legacy of tried and true DAWGS MEN since the time of my great great great grandfathers time so for me its really sad to hear people on here calling therselves DAWGS and then cut down one of the best coaches the program has ever had Ive actually had the privilege of talking with some of CMRs family and they are all the same extremely good people all around better than most youll ever be priveleged to meet. Guess what im saying is if you cant support the DAWGS wholeheartedly you may be an undercover tech fan:) GO DAWGS FOREVER!!!

UGA girl you are dead on. A lot of the whining and criticism is from people who are not UGA fans at all. The rest comes from exactly as you put it, “fair weather fans”. You also hear a fair amount from Tech fans who can’t get over the fact that Tech got lucky this year for the first time in 7 years. The true Tech came out when they embarrassed themselves in the Chicken Bowl. UGA can recruit with the best and play with the best. Hang in there UGA Girl.

When are you folks going to grow up and accept the fact that Willie Martinez isn’t going anywhere? Wasn’t it just a year ago that we were praising him for the dominating defense Georgia had during the 2007 season. Injuries and the inability to practice the way we needed to hurt us. We went back to basics before the bowl and it paid off. Don’t think for a minute that our boys won’t be worked hard this off season. True Dawgs support the team no matter what. I’ve had enough of these fair weather fans constantly bashing our coaches and players. If Richt wasn’t able to close deals, do you think we would have gotten a commitment from AJ Green his JUNIOR year? Oh yeah, Knowshon also chose GA over FL on signing day and I think Reid will too. Richt is one of the best coaches in college football and you should be greatful.

Reid should go to Georgia where he can be a starter immediately. Florida has 2 starters from this past year in front of Reid. Reid and Smith can be the best cover corner combination in the nation as Freshmen.

I have to agree with 1953 dawg. I’m a big Lowndes Vikings fan and Greg Reid fan as well, but to see Richt out recruit Meyer is yet to be seen. Greg Reid is a Gator. I think it’s a smart move to have Branden Smith make comments about his desire to be in the back field with Reid, but still don’t think that will happen. Meyer and crew will get the job done and i won’t be surprised to see Reid sign as a Gator.

A-men,1953 dawg, let’s just see if Richt & company can close and get the top recruits they have on the board to come to UGA, if you look back on the past years they have always struck out on the last few big time recruits they were undecided until signing day, let’s just see what happens this year.If they strike out again, then something has to been done very very quickly.
