This morning, Paces Properties announced another round of new tenants coming to the Krog Street Market. Among them, several female business owners and chefs, including Asha Gomez of Cardamom Hill and Jeni Britton Bauer of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams.
“Our tenant mix is incredible and to have James Beard winners and nominees makes us so fortunate to have so many great women involved in this project,” said Pat Wilson of Paces Properties in a press release
To date, a mix of 13 restaurants, market stalls and retailers have been released. More details from the press release below:
SPICE ROAD CHICKEN
Concept: Known for her award-winning Kerala fried chicken and a 2013 James Beard nomination for Best New Restaurant for her Cardamom Hill, Asha [Gomez] will be developing a market stall spotlighting chicken. From fried chicken to rotisserie and a variety of signature sides, Spice Road Chicken will be an easy stop for dinner on the go!

JENI’S SPLENDID ICE CREAMS
Concept: Ice creams, sorbets, and frozen yogurts built from the ground up with all carefully sourced ingredients from around the world. The flavors found at Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams range from seasonal made with fresh, whole fruits and vegetables, to the traditional chocolate and vanilla flavors made with bean-to-bar chocolate and Fair Trade-Certified vanilla. Jeni’s founder Jeni Britton Bauer is a James Beard Award-winning cookbook author and launched Jeni’s in 2002.
