For breakfast, she drank an Evolution Fresh “Organic Orange” juice. Lunch was the “Turkey Rustico” Panini. Dinner, the “quinoa-kale-spinach” dinner. She did this for 365 days. We reported last week that Beautiful Existence (her legal name, seriously) succeeded in eating and drinking only Starbucks (and their partners Tazo Tea and Evolution Fresh) for one full year.
An accomplishment like this seems fitting for someone living in the corporation’s hometown of Seattle. Before you think of Existence eating only pastries, bottles of juice, plastic containers of salad or saran-wrapped sandwiches, remember she was in the most geographically convenient location to complete this challenge. Several of the locations had “Starbucks evenings” which served small-plate meals. Evolution Fresh had three locations in the area that served fresh-pressed juices, soups, organic salads, sandwiches and rice bowls.
She sums it up in this blog post.
The first feast after the challenge was at a Seattle local restaurant called IVARS where she indulged in fried fish and chips. She had been craving salty, fried goodness that Starbucks did not offer.
It raises the question, is there any restaurant or food company that you would only eat at for one year? It seems impossible to pick a local Atlanta restaurant, you’d have to pick a restaurant group like Fifth Group or Buckhead Life. We’re sticking with variety, it’s the spice of life. What about you?
