Ave Maria at Veni Vidi Vici

Ave Maria at Veni Vidi Vici

Gift-giving may be over, but we still anxiously look for one last chance to celebrate the holiday season. Many Atlanta restaurants are featuring holiday cocktails through January, and we’ve rounded up a few festive favorites for you to imbibe.

Winter blues?  BLT Steak has the cure for all that ails. If you’re heading Downtown, stop by for their Brit-inspired take on the traditional “Hot Toddy.” Take a sip of their Hennessy VS infused with Earl Grey Tea, paired with gingered honey and topped with a charred lemon.

Park 75
75 Fourteenth Street NW, Atlanta

The “Peppermint Patty” is the bartender’s favorite during the holidays. Peppermint-infused Baileys, vodka, and mint syrup are stirred in this festive martini reminiscent of a favorite chocolate candy.

Seven Lamps
3400 Around Lenox Road, Suite 217
404-467-8950

Kevin Bragg’s “Aged Eggnog” is perfect this time of year. It washes down smooth, featuring Evan Williams bourbon, Camus cognac, Pyrat XO rum, eggs and cream, you’ll feel the holiday cheer with every sip.

South City Kitchen- Vinings

A nice spicy martini is reminiscent of pear gingerbread. The “Spiced Pear” is shaken with Absolute Pear vodka, Amaretto, ginger liqueur and house-made molasses spice syrup.

Veni Vidi Vici

An ode to the Italian song, “Ave Maria” is an icy concoction of homemade Madagascar vanilla grappa, Faretti Biscotti liqueur, Bailey’s Irish Cream liqueur, splash of cranberry juice and a dash of cinnamon.

Balt….you need to expand your horizon! In one glass put the infused tea, Madagascar vanilla grappa, ginger liquer, faretti biscotti and top with a charred lemon. In a second glass add two fingers of Makers Mark and a cube of ice.

Throw away the first glass and enjoy!

Ned…….believe you are on to something. May have to skip some of the 1st glass ingredients. My Package Store ( Lilly’s) does not carry many of the above items. Where do you find charred lemons??

“Tea party Meber”. Comments as scintillating as his ability to spell. Had the “Ave Maria” at vvv and it was really, really good. Yes, I like Maker’s Mark too, but no need to be so narrow in what one drinks.
