“milk’s leap towards immortality” is a direct quote from Clifton Fadiman, a great American and respected epicure. It should be noted as such.

Thanks Ned Ludd. Now it is noted!

I want to go so I can keep asking “Who cut the cheese?”

You had me until I saw that it will be held at Park Tavern. After one bad experience with awful service, I will never return.

If it wasn’t for Bob, there wouldn’t be a Food and More Blog. John must be still recovering from his 30 day thing; Jenny shows up once in a blue moon; and what the heck happened to Jon?

No thanks required. Always wanted to be a footnote. Great place for a cocktail. Fun bartenders. Good burgers. Sounds like a nice worthwhile evening. Of course there are still a few of us around who remember when it was the clubhouse for the golf course!

AzCat, they should change the name of the blog from “Food and More with John Kessler” to “Food and More Without John Kessler.” Kessler has been the only reason I visit the AJC site. The other writers give it their best, but they’re not Kessler. And forget about that paywall. Pay to read reviews by second string reviewers who are still learning the ropes? No thanks.

Park Tavern—Good place for a cocktail. Great burgers and bartenders but can really run into some obnoxious overbearing co-drinkers. Sounds like a fun worthwhile evening. Of course there are a few of us who still recall it as the golf course club house!

I’m still trying to figure out pro link’s post. Failed spam?

A night of limitless cheese…a week of non-stop constipation.

I just schnitzeled my pants!

I for one don’t miss Kessler. He banned me for my continued requests regarding the beer selections at each restaurant he would review. He had no problem detailing wine, but when it came to craft beer, there was nothing. It was all I ever asked and all I ever got was banned.

At least Townsend knows his beer and I am more likely to try these places out once I know there is an adequate beer list.

@schnitzeled: How DO you survive without someone to recommend dining options with an adequate beer list?

schnitzeled…….it sounds like you are now old enough to venture out on your own to taste beer. I would suggest you have your mom in the car outside to give you a second opinion or moral support. WOW, grow a pair!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What’s with the snark? I think it is a reasonable request.

Bee Hive…..talk about snark. How about schnitzeled calling Mr Kessler Miss Kessler. If you come off as a moma’s boy, you are going to catch some heat. The food writers are reviewing as they seem necessary, not to give this lad an individual side bar on his beer passion. Just check out his handle and tell me how mature his life might be.

Ummm, Balti, you might want to re-read schnitzeled’s first sentence. Just sayin’… ;-)

Beehive, if memory serves, schnitzeled quickly went from requesting to demanding to haranguing. If he got banned by Mr. Kessler, it was his own doing. Mr. K is Mr. Mellow, at least from his conduct in the face of some of the posters in the past few years.

And talk about a law with no teeth. An establishment can fail two or more inspections and refuse to close? How long does the general public roll along til the citation is heard and enforced? *smh* Seems to be happening more and more often.

AzCat…..I stand corrected. But our pal does need to cut the ties from his basement apartment. Maybe he should go out only when the sun is up so he won’t be so ‘frady scared’.
