Bojangles’ heading to Norcross

I’ve never made a secret of the fact that I love fast food breakfast, and without question, my all time favorite fast food breakfast item has to be the Cajun Filet biscuit from Bojangles’.

I went to college in the upstate region of South Carolina, and that is where my love affair with the Cajun Filet began. I spent many a hung-over Saturday morning at the Bojangles’ in Traveler’s Rest (also one of the only fast food establishments I’ve ever seen that allowed smoking inside) nursing a cup of coffee, that spicy chicken biscuit, and the closest thing to ambrosia you can get at a drive-thru, the Bo-Berry biscuit.

Well, Tomorrow’s News Today broke the news earlier this week that as part of Bojangles’ creep towards Atlanta, plans have been announce to add a location in Norcross. This is fantastic news for me personally, as I spend a good amount of my days in that area.

The planned site is the old Lonestar Steakhouse location next to Frontera on Jimmy Carter Boulevard near the intersection with Holcomb Bridge Road. This is in addition to other planned locations in Duluth and Tucker as well.

I know that Eli and I can’t be the only ones excited about the expansion of Bojangles’ in the metro area. Will you be heading to Norcross to get your Bo-Berry fix?

Thanks so much Jon – I loved Bo-J’s fried chicken (the wings!) and would never say to their heavenly biscuits!!

Jon, try the Martin’s large tenderloin and cheese or chicken biscuit. The chicken isn’t spicy but it’s still a delight to eat. There’s a Martins on Jimmy Carter near the corner of Buford Hwy.

Anyone remember that there was a Bojangles here in the early 80’s? It was on PIB just south of Winters Chapel – the building is now a sign shop (I think) next to the Beverage Warehouse. I used to work in the office park behind and we would make the morning biscuit run…..

There’s been a Bojangles in Buford at 985 and 20 for years, just had breakfast there yesterday. There was even one on Indian Trail across from GACS for a while, but I guess it didn’t get the love it deserved, so it closed.

We’ve had one here in Acworth for a couple of years, but, frankly, it isn’t that good – not the way I remember Bo’s being years ago. These days, when I want a chicken biscuit I go to Chick-Fil-A. Sure wish Popeye’s did breakfast. A spicy chicken biscuit from there I would imagine would be heavenly if it is a good as their spicy chicken.

I think this would be in Peachtree Corners…not Norcross.

What the @#$@# is taking so long? Every trip to Charleston I get at least one cajun filet biscuit. Years ago, they said they had plans to expand within Atlanta, and it never has happened.

There used to be a Bojangles on Indian Trail (which is Norcross). It is now closed. Am I the only one that remembers this?

There are Bojangles in Loganville and on Hwy 29 just north of Sugarloaf. They are all over town. I feel knida bad that you’ve been doing without when there are so many to choose from. Raise your periscope OTP!

Does any one know if Popeye’s still offer deep fried whole turkey’s during the Thanksgiving holiday? You order the week before and go by on Thanksgiving day to pick them up. I did this for 2 years till that location moved. They were fantastic. Their advertising said that they did about 250,000 in Georgia over that 2 year period. Hope someone will tell me they plan to do this again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a Bo J’s on Hwy 138 in Conyers, GA. I sure could use a cajun filet biscuit and some Bo rounds right now.
