Ford Fry, the man behind JCT, The Optimist, and the upcoming King + Duke, has lent his culinary craftsmanship to a good cause. Well, specifically, it is a good cause on wheels.
Enter People’s Food Truck – a non-profit food truck that will soon begin offering Fry’s creations all over town. Owned and operated by City of Refuge, a non-profit organization that works on community development though providing food, clothing, shelter, job training, healthcare, and education to Atlanta’s less fortunate. 100% of the proceeds from People’s Food Truck will go to benefit City of Refuge.
There will be a sneak peak of People’s this Friday the 26th at Atlantic Station from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. during the Autism Speaks Light It Up Blue event. The initial menu includes dishes like Mississippi Delta Hot Tamales and steak, smoky onion, pickled carrot, and avocado tacos.
