Top Chef Seattle recap, Episode 14: Recap by numbers

This week on Top Chef…

Jon Watson takes off for his flight mere minutes before tonight’s episode of Top Chef and is unable to watch the show, making recapping it nearly impossible. But, undaunted by the fact that he has not seen Episode 14, nor does he have any idea who won, who got eliminated, or who was resurrected from the Last Chance graveyard, he is willing to give it a shot.

After last week’s dramatic elimination where Stefan went home, [Chef Name] is both grateful and self-assured that [he/she] made it to the final four.

For this week’s Quickfire, [Guest Judge], alongside a strangely dressed Padma, greets the chef’s to introduce this week’s Quickfire. They have 30 minutes to prepare a dish that must include [corporate sponsor] and the dish must be completed with [unrealistic handicap].

For his Quickfire dish, Josh prepares [pork dish], but the judges really wants to see some more originality out of him this late in the game. Sheldon prepares [vaguely Asian cuisine] and talks about how many times he has seen his [parent or grandparent] make this at family gatherings.

Ok…that is all I got guys….so, what happened? What were the high and low lights? Should we watch Last Chance Kitchen, or has Kristen officially been put back into the finale?

There is still one more round of LCK to go. Kristen will have to best whoever is eliminated next week before getting back into the finale.

Jon captured the drama so succinctly. Andy Cohen should watch out!

Well the chefs doc in Alaska ( I would be so pissed to be on this season, yeah Alaska is beautiful but they have been to some gorgeous WARM places in past seasons)and must make a dish with King Crab for the quickfire. Sheldon wins with an asian flair added to his crab (Miso). For elimination the chefs must make homemade sourdough and salmon, and Lizze goes home with salmon sliders. Hopefully Kristen will be back soon, I’m ready for her to some kick some tail!

You didn’t miss much . The soup heavy ep’s are the lamest . Lizzy basically packed her knives for making her frontier dish to simple I guess along with not marinating her fish . It was weak .

I really like and respect Sean Brock. It was a big stretch for him to even be on the ATL edition of The Layover with Bourdain but now he’s representing AK too. 8-0

Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy good bacon. But, I’m so tired of this bacon meme. There are other flavors in the world, explore them!

Am I the only one who is somewhat offended by the fact that Josh chose to do this show while his wife was about to give birth? What incredible lack of responsibility. Even if he wins.
