Atlanta’s food community is rallying around one of its own, chef Ryan Hidinger, who was recently diagnosed with stage IV gallbladder cancer.
Hidinger, who worked at Muss & Turner’s for over seven years, has been working with his wife Jen to open a brick-and-mortar space for his supper club Prelude to Staplehouse. They had hoped to open the restaurant in 2013.
Now Atlanta restaurants are coming together for the Team Hidi event to raise funds for Hidinger’s treatment. Admission tickets cost $150 and 95% or more of the proceeds will go to the Hidingers. Food, beverages and entertainment by Frank Dux Fighting Academy Orchestra and Yacht Rock Revue are included. The event will also feature a food-related live auction.
Here are the details:
When/where: 4-8 p.m. Jan. 27, King Plow Event Gallery

It’s easy and safe. I’m sure that notes of support, encouragement and love are welcome too.
