Halloween is coming up soon, and some Atlanta restaurants are getting into the spirit of the season. Here are a few of the Halloween themed events going on around town.
Meehan’s – Sandy Springs
Meehan’s Public House in Sandy Springs has the ultimate Halloween Bash planned for Saturday, October 27. 80’s power-rock cover band Iron Mullet will play, and there will also be a cash prize give away to the patron that shows up with the best costume. Stay hydrated with drink specials including hunch punch and Jell-O shots. If you want to get a head start on burning off that Halloween candy, join us during the day for a walk/run marathon hosted by the American Lung Association. The marathon ends at Meehan’s. Atlanta Food Truck Park & Market – Howell Mill
The Atlanta Food Truck Park & Market will host “Truck or Treating” on Saturday, October 27, as Georgia Farm to Table and Tradition Trees offer with a great selection of Halloween Jack O’ Lanterns, pumpkins, gourds, and more wonderful treats from the fall harvest. Kids are encouraged to come dressed in Halloween costumes. Kaleidoscope Bistro and Pub – Brookhaven
Kaleidoscope Bistro and Pub will be hosting its second annual Halloween Party and Costume Contest on Wednesday, October 31 from 8 p.m. to close. Only guests who arrive in costume can enjoy drink and shot specials, including Fireballs, Applefire Caramel Apple Shots and Zombies ($5 each) Fireball Shorty’s ($3.75) and pumpkin spice martinis ($6). Those dressed up will also be entered into the costume contest for the chance to win great prizes. Ra Sushi – Midtown
RA Sushi in Midtown will be celebrating the holiday with Boo Bash 2012 on Octobers 31st. From 7 p.m. to close, diners can enjoy a variety of “Boo Bites” including sushi and appetizer specials such as Voodoo Crispy Chicken: crispy chicken sautéed with onion, green pepper and Japanese pumpkin tossed in a sesame chili sauce ($6). Refreshing “Potent Potions” will also be served, such as a Grape Ghoulade made with Three Olives Grape Vodka, blue curacao, cranberry and fresh lemon ($8). Atkins Park – Virginia Highland and Smyrna
Both Atkins Park Tavern locations will be joining in on fall festivities for the holiday. Atkins Park Tavern in Virginia-Highland will be a participating bar in Horror in the Highlands, sponsored by Malibu Black on Saturday, October 13 from 4-9 p.m. Attendees should dress in their most horrifying Halloween costumes for a chance to win a $500 costume contest prize.
