All right, Chinese food fans. Riddle me this: Where were these pictures taken?

Pork ribs with golden powder (sorry the picture is blurry)

Tofu and boiled fish in hot oil

Fish and cilantro rolls

Dry-fried eggplant
Any guesses?

@Always Hungry- Jesus didn’t live ITP- I believe He was crucified there. But seriously one will have to get to Buford Hwy or Chamblee for some authentic cuisine chinois.

Vaguely related- anyone know if Tasty China or its above-pictured clone makes Kung Pao Lotus Root? It’s something I had in NC a couple months ago and have been craving since.

There is no good Chinese food in Alpharetta. I’ve been looking for 5 years. Chin Chin is a glorified takeout place, Xian is the same, Satay House (which also serves Malaysian/Thai) is not terrible, but really there’s nothing else. I believe you do have to enter the Perimeter to find decent Chinese.

Thanks, Jere. I’ve heard good things about Lin’s, but from the outside it doesn’t look like much. You can’t see inside, and I’m always suspicious of restaurants with dark windows where you can’t see if it’s full of people or deserted. Maybe worth trying takeout sometime.

People who complain that there is no good Chinese food in Atlanta obviously have never been to Cafe 101, or BBQ Corner II or Chef Liu’s….
