This city is bonkers! Trendy burger places rule the dining scene, while real restaurants with real chefs that have amazing skills have to struggle.

Agreed. Both Truexes are amazing talents and we always loved our meals at Repast – - only sorry we couldn’t eat there even more than we did. Stay true to your core loves. Can’t wait to try both the new Truex spots in Decatur! All best and good luck.

Sad, sad news. Repast was one of the city’s best and most consistent restaurants. I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad meal there. I really hope that they do decide to bring it back, even if it is closer to Decatur.

We need burger joints as well as upscale restaurants. I ate there and haven’t returned – it wasn’t bad, just average Atlanta shi-shi and not memorable. And if it were that great, wouldn’t they remain in business like so many other longtime Atlanta restaurants? Location was also bad.
No suprise

No suprise here. Every restaurant Shumacher seems to have listed eventually closes. Restaurants don’t seem to be selling.

I think the burger places are just average, Atlanta shi-shi and not memorable.

Such a shame to hear it! Great people who made wonderful food with lots of thought, care, and detail . . . This Truex outpost will be missed but much luck on the other endeavors!
