New Blogroll

logoPlease check out my new blogroll listed on the right side of this page. I think it’s now the best and most thorough collection of blogs related to dining, cooking and drinking in the metro Atlanta area.

I was really happy to get such a great response from local bloggers when I put the call out for links. Among the many interesting ones are:

  • Doing Laundry and Other Tasty Bites — a local woman cooks through Thomas Keller’s cookbooks.
  • Cured Meats — a fascinating and instructive blog about making charcuterie at home.
  • Datelicious — restaurant reviews from a dater’s perspective.
  • Sous Vide Geek — experiments with a home sous vide set.
  • Young & Hungry — a blog written by two college friends, one of whom lives in Atlanta and the other in Dallas.

You’ll find links to these blogs and many others in the blogroll.

Please take a look through them and tell me which ones jump out at you.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing…Im always interested in reading what others have to say!

BTW….went to Crawfish Shack last night…THE EXPANSION has begun! Whoo hoo! they have cut a nice arch in the wall and the contractors were there glazing the floor. The owners sister says it will seat about 60 ppl and they are having picnic tables built. Will be another month or so before its ready….

I always thought charcuterie sounded fun, and Cured Meats really makes me want to do it. Oh well…vegetarian girlfriend means I don’t bring meat into our kitchen (probably good for me, or I would eat pork 6 times a day).

John, you’ve been my favorite food writer for as long as I can remember, so I’m extremely excited to make your blogroll (http://atlantabeer.blogspot.com/).

I’m a little biased as I personally know the Young & Hungry bloggers but thought it was worth a second mention…these ladies are extremely passionate about all things food–eating it, making it, inventing new recipes, and trying new restaurants. Reading their entries will inspire you, make you laugh, and dare to be a bit more adventurous with all things food (if you aren’t already!) Bon appetit!

Spaghettiboy’s blog was a great add. He’s been a net foodie for a long time.

Bongo — I’m not so sure. I think the food blogging thing is actually just taking off.
