This week dining critic Meridith Ford Goldman reviews the Iberian Pig in Decatur. I haven’t been yet but am eager to try it, if only for the Pata Negra Spanish ham on the menu.
Have you been? Do you agree with Meridith’s review?

I went once when I was in Decatur on a food bender, but they had only been open a few days and a bunch of things were a little off, though they showed promise. I’ve heard good things as of late though. The ham is tasty, but not sure if it’s worth the price you have to pay.

Enjoyed our meal at The Pig but thought most of the items were too complex. Simpler is better with tapas.
The Spanish wines were excellent.

Took a childhood pal of mine, who is an editor for citysearch, on my third trip…the jamon iberico is ridiculously good, only place in GA to get it that Im aware of. Cheeses are excellent, true spanish tapas with lots of flavors…
