I have been eating there for years and have never had a bad meal or drink. The service is first rate and friendly. The food is true Tex-Mex and having lived in Texas for years I feel I know the difference.
El Felix is a good example of true Tex- Mex and Nuevo is as just as good if not better. Try the shrimp tacos and get a side of grilled peppers and onions on the side. Try to find a better steak taco in Atlanta. Good luck

Quit pushing this place. Expand your mexican horizons. There is so much better food out there. Food is bland and service is bad.

I like Nuevo maybe once or twice a year, if that. However, if you're in for a new treat on the westside, try Bone Garden Cantina at 1425 Ellsworth Industrial Blvd Ste 6, where Ambra used to be. Their steak tacos are fabulous, same with their blackened fish tacos, and their pork burrito is out of this world.

I'm a stone cold regular. Have never found the food to be greasy, always homey, generous portions, hands down the best salsa in town. And after 10 yrs I have never once seen a roach in the place, upstairs or down. No I don't wait in line, I go at right time otherwise I just don't eat Mex anywhere. For those who don't like it, that's fine, leaves more room for those that do. Looks like Chance and MJ make pretty good money and they give an awesome charity event every year.

The only time I tried this place, the table top had been wiped with a sour cloth, the food was unappealing and greasy. Life is just too short to waste calories on that place

Don Pedro's on buford highway is really good.... they have some real mexican food. The tacos are $1 each, and u can choose from asada, lengua, chicken, and others. Thier mulitas are good too just a bit greasy.... but yummy. There is also a mexican restaurant across the street I forgot the name I think its El Rey Del Sol... but its really good too, i u know what real mexican food is.
