Stella was exceptional and will be dearly missed - I live so close to Little Azio I could walk there in 5 minutes, but I never do because Stella was so much better. Now no need to go to Doc Chey's because (listen up Grant Parkers) Spoon is in East Atlanta and far superior to Doc Chey's food.

my wife and i visited nearly a dozen times several times with friends and we always felt we were getting away with something...like they forgot to charge us full price.

stella never disappointed (except for that silly $2 beer special) and usually exceeded expectations.

we'll miss it

we tried to like stella-great location, nice folks and a big patio, but the food was bland and unexciting. plus, the vibe was a little too low rent for the prices they were charging. It just never caught on with anyone I know in the neighborhood. Grant Central is much superior and right down the block--hopefully, they'll get a boost from Stella's closing. I am glad the space will not remain empty, though, and welcome Doc Chey's to the neighborhood.

This is a serious disappointment. As a Stella regular (at least once a week), there's virtually no appeal of a Doc Chey's in comparison to the reasons I like Stella. The amazing, local, seasonal food has pleased even my pickiest fellow diners. And, the price for food and wine with friends was incredibly reasonable for the quality, the service staff, and the atmosphere.

I agree w/other posters, the existing Doc Chey's are just as close to me as Stella. And, I agree that keeping the excellent staff is important to me.

Sorry to lose the good dishes from Stella, though it went head-to-head against our excellent & fresh Grant Central, if a bit more formal. However, I love Doc Chey's, as do my kids! We'll eat there often when y'all open. Thanks for all your support for the community; glad you're continuing a presence here.

Loved Stella everytime we went there. Much better atmosphere than Osteria. Sorry to see it go.

LOVED Stella! Went there several times and it never disappointed. I recommended to many. I'm really sad to see it go, but always have room in my heart (and stomach) for Doc Chey's. Thank you, Rich, for wonderful, affordable concepts as well as your charitable contributions.

I live in Grant Park but have never been to Stella's. Based on all the positive comments, wondering why it is closing?
