Is headed to Decatur.
Decatur Metro is reporting (via The Decatur Minute) that the old Sage space on Decatur Square will become The Iberian Pig — a restaurant specializing in slow-roasted pork. Don’t drool on your keyboards.
The owners are the Castellucci family, whose small local chain of Sugo restaurants serve Italian family-style food in huge portions.
We’re not sure how they made the trek from Italy to Iberia. More to come.

I believe grand opening week is August 17/18, but the big weekend is supposed to be that Friday/Saturday Aug 21-22. Can’t wait!

Any chance they’ll serve Jamon Iberico? Now that Cuerno is closed, I don’t think anybody else in Atlanta is selling it.

I love Sugo — I was going to ask “Mr C” about their new venture when were there last weekend, but my in-laws were with us and I was afraid that if we got him excited, he would go on forever!
