A source at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport has confirmed that plans are underway for a branch of Café Intermezzo to open in the B Concourse.
According to airport media director John Kennedy, the new space located at the top of the escalator coming from the train will be a combination of Buckhead Books and the popular cafe, which famously serves over 100 desserts along with a menu of small plates, soups, salads, sandwiches and other light fare. No word yet on an opening date. There are two current locations in Brookwood (South Buckhead) and Dunwoody.
Café Intermezzo will join One Flew South, which opened in November on the E Concourse, as another dining destination for travelers who want to avoid the food courts. One Flew South offers inventive Southern cooking, sushi and a sophisticated drinks/cocktails program.
