Ahhh, springtime in Atlanta. It’s a beautiful time of year, though most of us could do without the pollen dust covering our cars and those pesky allergies. As we come out of winter hibernation, preparing the yard for spring planting is on the mind of most green-thumbs. Another popular task this time of year is spring cleaning. We tackle those basements and attics and find that we have a lot of items we could do without. Just this past weekend I passed several garage sales and even a lemonade stand. Local resident Tom Zarrilli, who has been documenting the history and trends of garage sales, says there are more yard sales now and people are more willing to part with premium merchandise, due to the faltering economy.
