Tucker also says that Reagan raised taxes AND,

“No, it won’t be possible to cut government programs and services enough to balance the budget. Most federal funds go to military spending and to Social Security and Medicare, not to welfare programs or foreign aid or other projects that might be easily tossed aside”

Just what does nimble brain Tucker think Social Security is but welfare programs???

Scott: I am done trying to talk with a child.

Whatever, dude, but this is twice you’ve said something like that, yet you keep coming back. But I’ll still be around from time to time whenever you want to man-up and talk some more.

P.S. Yes, WWII did help get the country moving in one direction, but as we learned from President Bush (Jr.), presidents can mismanage wars and cause us many mega-problems. Roosevelt managed his well, plus he put Americans back to work domestically with his various spending programs, as I’m sure you already know.

In fact, the South was once solidly Democratic and considered President Roosevelt a true hero of the people. But that was before the coming of the struggle for civil rights in the 60s, and the reactionary politics that sprang up in response to making all American citizens free and equal.

Amazing, isn’t it? And isn’t it also amazing that the South is about all the Republican Party has left of its ever-shrinking base? Not really, sir, but have a good one!

Linda wrote: These are more figments of your imagination. I’d rather be called a liar than an idiot.

Actually you're both, Linda, which is why I have a problem with almost everything you say. I first met you on this blog as someone misrepresenting herself as a welfare mother from Kenya and wanting to meet me at the zoo. Want to see the posts?

Then when I tried to have a serious conversation with you and asked some pertinent questions about you, your family, and whether or not your were religious, you ran away – typical. Talk about denial, Linda, you are what you’re calling me. Actually, I don’t trust anything you say anymore. You could be living on the back ward of some mental institution for all I know.

I saw where you told someone yesterday that you’re “deeply religious.” But after watching you lie about yourself on this blog, make fun of the poor, and take the consistent reactionary approach to politics, I don’t think you have a clue what real religion is all about. I mean, I’m sitting here wondering if that’s a halo you’ve pinned on your head or a bent coat hanger for getting in touch with the other planets.

In short, Linda, I think you’re nuts, but in this God-given America, you can be whatever you want to be, even if it’s nuts. And the rest of us can be whatever we want as well, irrespective of what you and people like you might think.

You can continue to make fun of the have-nots and disadvantaged all you want, but please understand why I can’t take you seriously anymore. I’ve seen what you say, Linda, and I can clearly see you have personal problems of your own. Maybe you should start acting sane and rational for a change, and maybe we can talk then. Don’t worry, I’ll still be here. I’ve been around crazy conservatives all my life, and the stuff on this blog is little more than child’s play.

P.S. And for the good of America and all the people on this blog, please don’t forget to take your meds!!!!

Tom, Your babbling wasn't even wroth reading. There really wasn't much substance to it at all. You know nothing about me and it shows.

Blame all you can on Bush and just keep ignoring that the Democrat-controlled Congress controlled the purse strings for the last 2 years of the Bush Admin, which coincided with the economic downturn.

Continue to believe that the Dems will stay in power. Polls speak otherwise and that will become very evident in next year's elections.

Oh and by the way.....it wasn't Roosevelt's policies that brought us out of the Great Depression. It was a little thing called WW2. You do remember hearing about that thing, right?

I am done trying to talk with a child. You clearly have no clue what you are talking about.

Medicare works just fine and has delivered good care for as long as I can remember. The drug program needs to be replaced by one like the Veterans Administration uses so as to bring costs down.

As a sixty-something, I've been expecting the 'Ice-floe Event' for years. This is it. And if you don't get what an ice-floe event might be, look into the way the eskimos (PC police, don't bother reminding me about 'eskimos') handle the care for the aged and infirm.

Here's a list of some of the new taxes that are in the 2074 page senate health care bill. wonder how many more there are in this bill and the house 1900+ pages. these taxes will take effect on passage but the health care will not begin until 2014. does anyone actually believe that this can work for the benefit of the American people? the egos of the people who came up with this piece of garbage is amazing. they should be booted out in the street asap.
Individual Mandate Tax = Income Surtax
Employer Mandate Tax
40% tax on "Cadillac" Health Insurance plans
Medicine Cabinet Tax (has to do with HSA/FSA accts)
HSA withdrawal tax hike
Excise tax on charitable hospitals
Tax on Innovator Drug companies
Tax on Medical Device Manufacturers
Tax on Cosmetic Surgery
Higher Payroll Tax on Upper Income
Tax on Health Insurers
Elimination of tax deductions for employer provided retirement drug coverage
Hike in Medicare Payroll Taxes
Blue Cross/Blue Shield Tax hike

And this is just a partial list. Under this plan, we won't need healthcare because we will be taxed to death.

Cynthia, still no logical answer to my 2:26pm post from yesterday? I never got one when I asked it a couple of days ago and I doubt I'll get one now. Still can decide how Obamacare is better than Medicare?

Mr, Middleton, I've had enough psychiatry courses to understand you. I have your profile. You are bitter. You can't acknowledge facts. You're in denial. You probably have relationship issues. Your tactics are deplorable.
I don't ever want to discuss anything with you ever again. You are hopeless & irrevlant. You are a disgrace to the Dem party.
