Go back and look at what Larry McDonald said before he was killed on KAL 007. Where was he wrong? Even though everyone said he was paranoid at the time, must have to admit he was right in many of his assertions.

I read with interest the storm in a teacup regardng Ms Tucker's article.

However Abdul Ameer in his enthusiasm for vengeance immersed in hate went for not only Ms Tucker's jugular vein like a pitbull, but also tried to go for the jugular (if there is one) of our Creator.

He spewed incorrect, out of context, fractured and in appropriately translated,. partial sentences from the the Book of God of one of the major monotheistic religions in the world.

Misquoting with incorrect translations of arabic: – Muhammad said: “Fight in the name of Allah and in the way of Allah. Fight against those who disbelieve in Allah. Make a holy war, …”

and quoting out of context :

– “You are the noblest community ever raised up for mankind.” (3:110)
This was said about people who feared and loved God and were kind, caring and fulfilled the rights of other human beings.

It is treacherous to misquote and misrepresent the holy book of any religion and use it for personal gain or for spreading hatred in societies, or people of different race, color or faith.

People who are so arrogant that they do not even fear their own Creator, can misuse His words with impunity or twist them to create hatred amongst brothers.

I feel sad and sorry for such people as Abdul Ameer (which translates into " the slave of the leader") who has such self hatred that he feels okay to spread it by mis quoting mis representing and mistraslating references to the verses of the Quran and text of the Hadith without context.

There is a name for such people in the halls of academia and they never cross the threshold of a place of learning with a degree, but are usually propelled out with a velocity that does them justice for "dishonesty in use of references".

All those who have studied the English language know how that can be done, but it remains treacherous dishonesty at all levels and most of all the person who is doing it knows it best.

I know that he will come back sputtering with few more of the disjointed sectioned quotes as an answer.

My humble and earnest suggestion to Abdul Ameer is to go back and in all earnest study and reflect on the Quran in context, starting from the first surah, and then come back and correct his hurriedly googled text of hate based distorted and fractured quotes from the Quran and hadith.

May he find the peace he is looking for in his study, and in doing so prevent the self hatred that he has from spewing out onto Ms Tucker who is a renowned jounalist, who has attempted to present Dr. Brouns attempts to gain notoriety on the back of todays "whipping boy" i.e. muslims.

With Best Regards,
from a Georgian who is waiting for a response from Dr Broun to my questions.

Maybe if C. Tucker ran and won a congressional seat, she'd win that honor of being wacky.

I'm still wondering what this woman does for a living? It sure isn't writing. I'm guessing she draws unemployment, sits mornings at Starbuck's on their free web and finds her stories on Yahoo!

This is one reason why the AJC is loosing money. This used to be the premier paper of the entire south! Now, it's not even carried in much of the state. People get tired of this diatribe that she's spitting forth. I have a feeling that she has to write about something and has figured out how to cut and paste.

At first, I had no intention of entering into the basic discussion here which seemed to have quite a few angry, political people, with little specific knowledge or experience, shouting at one another, calling each other names (right-wing, left-wing, liberal, conservative, Democrat Republican,etc.). At the same time, I received an e-mail from an ex-student from Herat Afghanistan who asked if I was the same teacher from the local school who had visited his family's home in 1965, giving him a picture of King Zahir Shah of Afghanistan with President Kennedy. I responded yes and listed some of my fond memories from those days in '65 and '66, when I was serving as a Peace Corps English teacher.

My later years involved English language education in universities and institutions in Kabul, Beirut Lebanon, Mashhad, and later Isfahan, Iran and Saudi Arabia. Between '65 and October 2001, I had spent a total of 17 years sprinkled through 5 decades in those countries with sometimes related work when back in the U.S. I cancelled my contract with a university in Saudi Arabia after the 9/11/2001 attacks and returned home on October 10th of that year. My clear impression over the last 3 decades was that these predominantly Muslim states, and their neighbors, were all growing religiously more conservative and dangerously so. When religiously leaders were subservient to tribal elders and government offices, there was only the problem of dealing with the family elders or government leaders. For example, in Herat Afghanistan, at the age of twenty-four, I was assigned, by the local education ministry, teach 16 and 17-year-old girls. This presented no problem then but today even Muslim male teachers of women are in danger. The Taliban of course would behead a non-Muslim or Muslim male teacher and blow up the school.

I have known these cultures intimately, both here and there, at their best and worst. The name-calling clouds learning. One of the best sources for an insider's thoughts on the problems of the religion of Islam in open, muti-ethnic, religiously-tolerant societies is found in the writings of Phoenix physician Dr. Zuhdi Jasser. He is a devout Muslim who sees a grave danger to his religion and his country, the USA, from what he calls "Islamism" or political Islam. I highly recommend his web site, American Islamic Forum for Democracy or AIFD, for a very informed and articulate presentation of the problems with certain Muslim individuals and organizations. He descibes a very grave threat to his religion, our country and the world in general, from the misuse of the religion by religious and political leaders. The CAIR office of Arizona considers him to be an enemy. One previous CAIR leader, Marwan Ahmad, pictured him as a dog on the leash on the Arizona Reublic newspaper in their "Muslim Voice" publication.

Comparisons of Christianity and Islam are beside the point and serve only to confuse the real issue – Islam is an ideology codified in a religion. It is a complete blueprint for living and covers every aspect of a Muslims life, public and private. However, a Muslim is quite happy to live under the laws of whatever country in which he lives and to enjoy the privileges and the resources available –until the laws of that land conflict with the Koran’s teachings. This is where the danger lies – then these well educated professionals, who continue to make inroads into American business, finance, government and society will use their influence and wealth to sabotage the laws of the land – changing them to conform to the teachings of Islam – and forever abrogating the freedoms and values we as Americans hold dear.

So I say to you Ms. Tucker, as a journalist and a woman of influence, regardless of your political leanings – please pause to see the big picture.

Placing Muslim interns in the government may not be a formal conspiracy, but it is a step in the cultural jihad process. Please do not denigrate those elected officials who understand this and seek to educate other Americans to this danger. They are not nut cases.

I have followed CAIR for many years. I have never seen, heard or read anything that insinuates that CAIR is trying to destory our country. On the contrary, they are trying to bring muslims to be part of mainstream America. What's wrong with integrating a group of muslims who many are immigrants with advance degrees, highly edcuated and contributing memebers of society to the mainstream? These fanatic, racist congressmen are dying breed. They forgot what made america a great country is its immigrants and diversity of its religions. Those congressmen will sooner or later get voted out. Let's not be like Europe and isloate immigrants and turn them into home grown terrorists. Lets be progressive and leaders to the world.

Wow-there a lot of ignorant islamophobes on this site. Aren't you guys embarrassed by yourselves. I recommend going to the Cair site and you can see how mainstream they are, rather than relying on second-hand hearsay from hate merchants. Such hatred really ends up harming us.
