I'd say Pat has a big chip on the shoulder! The forefathers laid the foundation for this country -- the Constitution, like it or not (I detect a great bit of hostility toward the founding fathers perhaps a bit of hatred because of their race). What has been (and is continuing to be built) on that foundation is what generations thereafter have contributed.
Pat, you are right Obama's healthcare plan would not have counselled Senator Kennedy into not prolonging his life . . because Senator Kennedy would have been exempt from Obama's healthcare plan. When are those proponents for Obama's healthcare plan going to ask their congressmen why they are being exempt from the healthcare plan.

Typical wingnut responses here. If Tucker had echoed her opposition to the racist memo with a column of her own, she'd had been derided for echoing Bookman. If she keeps it short and sweet; "yeah, what Bookman said." ... then, she's lazy, or a coward. If she'd AGREED with the "black agenda" statements in the memo and said so, she'd have been rightly labelled a racist. But since she disagreed, she's a hypocrite, just as bad as the people she's criticizing who wrote the memo. Earth to wingnuts: "Huh?"
Why bother addressing any of her columns? Admit it, it doesn't matter what she writes. You spew the same sewage water back in response - and most of the time, you bring up HER race, whether her column's about race or not. So spare us all, and just email in your standard, Cliffs Notes bullets:

Liberal= :Weak, unpatriotic, cowardly, anti-business, tax - and- spend, godless, America-hating, sissies, tax loving socialists, elitists
Black liberals = unAmerican, undeserving, affirmative-action babies, ghetto-dwelling, criminal coddling parasites.

See, isn't that faster?

And to the dude who decried that the nation has "moved to the left of what our forefathers created" ...
the founders were men, not gods - and everything they created had all the fingerprints and flaws of human hands. They envisioned a system where blacks and women had no rights and no vote, where land ownership was presumed to be a requirement for suffrage, and where the masses weren't trusted to select a President by one man, one vote. Fortunately for us, many of the most influential of them were, despite their status as members of the landed gentry, also minds honed by the Enlightenment - America's age of reason, where the power of the church was firmly held in check. Almost all believed in God, but did not trust religion with power.

I'm so weary of the "what the Founders intended"/strict constructionalist BS.

And speaking of BS, didn't you love the Huckster prattling on about how Obama's healthcare would have counselled Senator Kennedy into not trying to prolong his life? I'd have loved to see that future Jenny Craig spokesperson try to put those words in Ted's mouth while he was alive. Brain cancer or not, he'd have kicked Huck's hillbilly buttocks back to the armpit state he once governed.

This past week a memo was circulated around City Hall....asking citizens to vote for Lisa Borders to preserve the black agenda. The memo indicated that the black agenda would be lost if a black mayor was not elected in. Unfortunately the black agenda has been lost for many years. Evidence of this can be seen in our heavily neglected historically black communities such as English Avenue, Vine CIty, Peoplestown, Mechanicsville, Adair Park, the list goes on.
If the black agenda has been preserved all these years how come the black communities in this city have not been preserved? The scholars who wrote the memo who are allegedly from Clark Atlanta are not paying attention when they drive into the campus each day. The area surrounding Clark Atlanta is not preserved and it is not safe. Most of the homes have gone into foreclosure. Over the past 25 years the "black agenda" that the scholars at Clark Atlanta (the memo writers) has done nothing but destroy the very same neighborhoods that blacks reside in. Get a grip atlanta....its not about color its about quality of life.

Eight out the cities with the top 10 poverty rates in America have been run by Democrats 100 percent of the time since 1965. Two have been run by Republicans only 8 percent of the time.

Washington, D.C., long controlled by progressive liberals, spend $15,000 per student(50% above. Only 60 percent of the kids graduatewith only 9 percent going on to college.

In 1998 they banned guns in England. For the next seven years, the number of deaths and injuries from gun crimes increased 340 percent — because only criminals had guns.

In England, patients in hospitals have been known to be so thirsty that they drink water from the nearby plants, new moms forced to give birth in hallways because of a shortage of rooms and supposedly removed spleen suddenly rupturing.

In Canada there's an average wait of 4 1/2 months to see a doctor. In fact, 17,000 Canadians have come to the US for healthcare just since Obama's inaguration, no Americans have gone to Canada.

The Bank Bailouts cost taxpayers $700 Billion, $6.4 Billion(less than 10%) of which has been quickly returned by those banks politically pressured to it. A 15% profit.., according to those that never took Accounting 101.

All this preceived as progress.., from those that feel moving to the left of what our forefathers created is a good thing.

"If all the liberals moved out of Georgia this place would be like Mississippi - dirt poor and segregated. It would be a conservative paradise - too bad for you rednecks we aren’t going anywhere."

I thought liberals prided themselves on embracing people who are different than they are. To hear the dehumanizing and vilifying terminology they used toward "rednecks"—i.e., poor and working-class white people who refuse to think like they do—you'd think you were listening to a bigot.
