Forsyth County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man they said robbed a Chase Bank branch from his car Wednesday.
Deputies said the robbery happened in the bank’s drive-thru, and a man driving a black, four-door 2012 or 2013 Hyundai Genesis received an undisclosed amount of cash after passing the teller a note. The note, deputies said, indicated there was an explosive device on the premises.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Bomb Disposal Unit responded to the scene, located the device, detonated it and determined it was not an explosive device, according to a news release.
Anyone with information about this incident should call the sheriff’s criminal investigation section at 678-886-2800, ext. 3880. If you are calling after hours, call the dispatch center at 770-781-3087.
