Georgia Tech police continue to investigate an attack on a student that happened early Friday on a campus street.

According to a campus crime alert, the student was walking along Fifth Street between Fowler Street and Techwood Drive just before 1 a.m. Friday when she was approached by a male who pushed her to the ground and attempted to take her property.

“The student screamed and the male ran to a silver sedan parked nearby,” police said in the alert. “The student received minor injuries and did not require medical attention.”

Police described the student’s attacker as a 5-foot-10 male with a “slim to average” build and long dreadlocks. He was wearing a red v-neck T-shirt and blue jeans.
