A former Hall County Jail employee turned herself into the Hall County Jail Tuesday on a charge of disrupting a public school, authorities said.
Candy Wigner worked with the Sheriff’s office since September 2007, but resigned this month before being terminated after she was involved with an incident at Chestatee Middle School on Oct. 16, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said.
The Sheriff’s office requested the GBI investigate the incident and they concluded that Wigner went to the school to have lunch with her daughter and while in the cafeteria, she confronted a student about making derogatory comments to her daughter.
Wigner’s statements were deemed to be threatening, according to authorities.
She is being held on a $5,000 bond.
