Angry man puts girlfriend on hood, speeds down interstate
Jonathon Salas allegedly put his girlfriend on the hood of his SUV and drove on I-85 in Gwinnett County.
If this guy isn’t single now, he should be. When he gets out of jail, that is.
A Gwinnett County man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after allegedly putting his girlfriend on the hood of his SUV and ignoring her screams as he drove on I-85, Channel 2 Action News reported. But other drivers couldn’t help but notice the woman and are credited with helping her to safety, police told Channel 2.
Others on I-85 called 911, took pictures of the woman’s ordeal and surrounded the SUV until the driver was forced to pull over.
“We start motioning to each other, like can you believes this,” Adam Marlatt, a witness, told Channel 2. “One guy is showing me he’s taking pictures. He can tell I’m on the phone. And, I kind of mouthed to him, I’m on with 911.”
Thanks to the Good Samaritans, the SUV finally stopped near the Mall of Georgia and officers quickly arrived and arrested the driver, Jonathon Lozano Salas. The woman, whose name was not released, was not seriously injured.
Salas, 29, of a Lawrenceville arrest, was charged with aggravated assault, reckless conduct and simple battery. He was booked into the Gwinnett County jail, where he remained Thursday night without bond.

This is a guess: He wanted to go out with the fella’s. She said, “No!!”. He tried to leave…she got on the hood…and he went out anyway.

That is not even close how it happened.. That girl is crazy and she won’t get of his hood.. I was the only person present before she got on the hood … He had to pick up his daughter from pre school.. She is nuts.. N I would appreciate if the news people would speak the truth.. And can’t tell me is not true cause I saw everything.. She should be in jail she attacked me too trying to take her of him.. God bless !!

Why she did not get off the hood is not the question. Why he drove with her on the hood is the question. Who knows, he may have had a gun and told her he would shoot her if she got off the hood. Anyway, I am sick of this crap and people who choose to carry on like this should be asked to leave this country. Period.

I guess you didn’t hear about the white people that locked their son up in a room for years and then given a bus ticket and told not to ever return back home (if that’s what you call a home). Or better yet, the white man who fathered children from his own daughters and kept them and her underground for years.
Oh let’s not for get about the white woman who stabbed her son and killing him with a steak knife. What about the white woman that killed her three children ages 2 months, 4 years and 8 years old from Rahat.

She is over 18 I am am eye witness she was not forced to go on the car .. she can ride anywhere in the trunk or wherever she wants Idk bout the interstate tho.. She wouldn’t want to get of the ride so he drove.. We’ll see what happens.. there are cams too, from the complex

Whomever thought to say once this country is non-majority white, this country will go downhill fast. Ha! You haven’t paid attention to the news. Minorities do have some issues but most of the time you see crazy mess in the news it is a majority white person. Most of the time I hear of mass murderers, serial rapists, and other crazy outrageous crimes it is not a person of color.

Since the article said “…allegedly putting his girlfriend on the hood… ” I am wondering is she dumb as bricks for staying on the hood after he put her there before driving off. Or, did she jumped on to stop him from leaving and he decided to gave her the ride of her life?

I know both of them personally. He comes from a very good family. Parents are very hard workers. Parents so wonderful. Parents would help anyone. This guy was suppose to be a soccer star. Parents spoiled him as a kid. Mom and dad has heart of gold. Jonathan just will not stay out of trouble. Even if the girl would not get off the hood, you still don’t drive down the interstate with her on the hood.Just call the police. Damn JS you know better.

How exactly can someone PUT you on the hood of their car and drive off with you? Was she bound to the car, was he holding a gun on her? This makes no sense to me whatsoever. If someone PUTS you on the hood of the car and starts driving, won’t a rational person jump off the car?
This is nothing more than the gf acting crazy…jumps up on the car thinking he wouldn’t pull off. Women will jump in your face, hit you, try to stop you from leaving the house, jump on the hood of the car and the moment you touch them, you are the aggressor. This is simply silly. How can you be forced to stay on the hood of a car with a speeding person behind the wheel? She made this up so he gets more time.
