Need $3 million? Become a SEC football coach

If you want to hire a top-notch SEC coach these days, you better be prepared to spend $3 million a year.

That’s what it takes.

Nearly every SEC coach makes at least $3 million a year, with Alabama’s Nick Saban topping the list at $5.62 million. He reportedly was bumped up to $7 in a new deal that was signed in December, the terms haven’t been released.
