No surprise: Saban, other coaches love their signees

We all heard it Wednesday.

Coach after coach after coach praising their new players.

They were thrilled.

They were excited.

They were happy and pleased and bragged about the latest group of signees.

The folks at Football Scoop assembled a list of quality quotes uttered by football coaches around the land on Wednesday.

Here are some examples:

“I’m in a good mood because we’ve signed good football players.” — Duke’s David Cutcliffe

“We have a lot of guys in this group that everybody wants. We haven’t been in that business to the extent we were this year.” — Miami’s Al Golden

“We’re very pleased with the character and quality of people that we’re able to attract here.” — Alabama’s Nick Saban

I wonder how these anyone of these coaches will feel the first time one of their “great young men” find themselves in trouble.

How’s old Auburn feeling right now with their #1 pick sitting in a Florida jail?

There seemed to be less preening and drama this year.

Loel,

I agree! I think this is a better class than the Dream Team. I think it is the best class Georgia has ever had. Isaiah Mckenzie will be the difference maker just like the Honey Badger was for LSU while he played for them. I just hope he stays out of trouble and stays on the field unlike the Honey Badger.
