Murray can now charge for autographs

If all you want for Christmas is Aaron Murray’s autograph, here’s your chance.

For $35.

Murray’s injured knee will keep him from playing against Nebraska in the Gator Bowl, so he has completed his eligibility as a UGA athlete, which means he can now charge for autographs.

Murray, who was selected second-team All-SEC by the AP on Monday, will sign autographs at Georgia Square Mall in Athens, beginning at 1 p.m. on Dec. 14. Tickets, which come with a photo opportunity, will go on sale at 10 a.m., on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Part of the proceeds will go to Extra Special People (ESP), a non-profit that “strives to enhance the lives of children with developmental disabilities and their families by focusing on their abilities,” according to its website.

Murray has signed with Everett Sports Marketing, which has planned numerous events with him, including a youth football camp in Athens scheduled for Feb. 8.

Murray’s Twitter account now reads: “For marketing opportunities please email”

Too bad he couldn’t sign off on a winning record for Top 25 teams, Top 10 Teams and bowl games.

Thanks, Frank for your moronic post. Three straight wins over the Gators. Beat two top 10 teams this year ( SC and LSU). Engineered a miracle comeback against Auburn. Had that game won if not for the luckiest play of the century. All time SEC passing leader. Hard to pad stats playing an SEC schedule. What’s he supposed to do, throw incomplete passes just so idiots like you wont accuse him of padding his stats ? Tony Dungy says if he were still a coach that he would take Murray as the first qb in the draft. But I’m sure you’re smarter and more qualified than Dungy.

$35? Seriously? Wow! Everything is over-priced these days. This one by about a mile. $5 would be a stretch.

I wouldn’t pay a nickel for Boxscore Murray’s autograph.

While the cause is touching, I will contribute directly and leave Ol’ Boxscore out of it.
