Muschamp’s days must be numbered

About 10 days ago, Florida AD Jeremy Foley said he was 1,000 percent behind coach Will Muschamp.

I wonder what the percentage is now.

The Gators (4-7) have lost twice since then, an expected loss to South Carolina, and one that leans toward the ridiculous.

Georgia Southern, a team in flux because its moving from the Southern Conference to the Sun Belt at the end of the season, shocked Florida 26-20 on Saturday, but is still the first FCS school to ever defeat Florida.

Muschamp can’t feel so secure right now.

The Gators have lost six straight games. They won’t be going to a bowl for the first time since 1990. At 4-7, this will be their first losing season since 1979.

And if you think Florida fans were hopping mad after losing to Louisville in the Sugar Bowl in January, check them out on Twitter today. They’re so full of venom I can’t put them on here.

I’m all for giving coaches a chance, especially with the injuries that Florida has seen this season, but when you’re Florida, you have to beat programs like Georgia Southern. There’s no reason not to do it.

Foley almost has to give up on Muschamp.

He can’t risk falling farther behind Florida State.

Miami is showing signs of life.

Central Florida is now the best team in the middle of the state.

I expect Muschamp to finish the season and then be fired after next week’s inevitable loss to Florida State.

He’ll make someone an excellent defensive coordinator next fall.

Cam Cameron is my vote for the next Florida head coach. NFL offensive coordinator, NFL head coach, and he turned around the LSU QB and offense this year. And look for Muschamp to head back to the NFL as an defensive coordinator and possible future NFL head coach down the road. I seriously doubt he takes a job in the college ranks, unless it is a head coaching job somewhere.

Muschamp would be an improvement over Grantham.

Player talent is not the problem at Florida. But an ex-Georgia Bulldog is the problem.

Judas Muschump getting what he deserves for traitoring on Dawgs. But at least he burning down the Gaytors program while he doing it. They now be laughing at by rest of SEC. FSU goning make it a real rear whooping next week to send him packing in style.

Go Dawgs!

It all works out for the best. Florida hires Skip Holtz, who’ll never beat UGA and Muschamp comes home to coach the Dogs D.

Going to be interesting to see what Foley does. If Muschamp Stays….and flops again next season, it might be his butt on the line. I really don’t see a lot on that roster to win 9 or 10 games next year. Certainly not a QB on campus to save the day. Tough times. Welcome back to earth.

I have been a loyal Gators fan (and graduate of the U of F) since my days on campus back in the 70s, when the football program was really bad. Today, Will Muschamp took the Florida football program back to the 70s…..and beyond how bad those years were. The Gators just lost to Georgia Southern in a half empty SWAMP. Are you kidding me? Charlie Pell’s winless Gators team would have romped over GS today. I expect Muschamp will be around for the FSU game……with Foley giving him one last chance to save his job….and personal coaching dignity. But, if I were Foley, I would be in Muschamp’s office right now firing him. He has become the dumbest head coach in the school’s history….and he has embarrassed the program beyond measure. He just coached a Florida team….even with injuries…..and loaded with 4 and 5 star talent….to a loss vs. a Georgia Southern team playing with mostly freshmen and soph players that were not even recruited by BCS schools. Are you kidding me?!!!!@###@ And Muschamp did not look much like a great DC today either. And…he was still having Pease run the ball up the middle when the team was down by 10 in the 4th. He and Pease are beyond coaching idiots…if not beyond coaching morons….when it comes to being a head man and OC of a major football program like Florida. I think Foley should be held responsible for the mess he has put Florida in, and he should not have any input in the hiring of the next Florida head coach. I just hope a head coach searching committee without Foley will consider ONLY names with previous high levels of success as a HEAD FOOTBALL COACH in college or the pros. (Cam Cameron already comes to my mind). Florida deserves better than a head coach waiting for training.

And….I would expect Muschamp’s next move will be back to the NFL, not to the U of Ga….as a DC. If he wants a future in coaching, he has to take a step up (to the NFL as a DC)….and not a step down as a DC in college.
