Clark Atlanta wins first; Valdosta State undefeated

Clark Atlanta broke a four-game losing streak to Morehouse with a 21-17 victory on Saturday. It was first-year coach Kevin Weston’s first win with the Panthers.

Valdosta State wins: Austin Scott rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns as defending Division II national champion Valdosta State remained undefeated with a 52-14 win over Florida Tech on Saturday.

Scott (Hardaway) scored on runs of 72 and 16 yards for the Blazers (4-0, 2-0 Gulf South Conference), who are No. 1 in Division II.

Cedric O’Neal (Dublin) added 97 yards rushing, including a 62-yard touchdown run as the Blazers finished with 275 yards on the ground.

Willie Downs scored on a 62-yard punt return and Tevin Davis (Mary Persons) returned a fumble 52 yards for a touchdown for Valdosta State.
