More college football for your reading pleasure

We interrupt your Braves Bliss to bring you a few words about college football.

Tell your friends, neighbors and countrymen that the AJC’s College Football Insider blog is back this year, three weeks and a few days before this season starts.

You might know me from the AJC’s Q&A on the News or from the AJC’s college football coverage of past years. I’m still writing those articles, but have added this blog, which we plan to continue nearly year-round.

I’ll update it several times a week and will include thoughts, stats, musings, notes, even more Johnny Manziel updates (if he’s eligible) – basically everything college football – from around the state, the ACC and SEC and the country.

And for the Braves fans, there are two things it won’t include: A-Rod and Yasiel Puig.

So camps are open, players are practicing and Chick-fil-A cups and paper place mats have little Alabama and Virginia Tech helmets printed on them.

That all means that college football is here. Enjoy the ride.

And hci ……not once did I say anything about UGA wanting to be in the CFA kickoff classic. Personally, I couldn’t care less.
I was talking about having more variety of teams. Good if bamalama wants to go. But there are many other teams out there and believe it or not, there are tons of fans that couldn’t care less about bamalama either.

Alabama has a serious inflated view of itself. Certainly no place to visit. No humility and constant tossing of insults at other schools/fans does not show good sportsmanship and is totally classless.
Try winning with class. This is why fans all over dislike bamards. It’s Not completely about the championships.

If UGA could ever overtake Alabama’s dominance of the SEC (which is higly improbable), then the ChikFla might be something other than the “Alabama Kickoff Classic.” Until then UGA will be “second rate.”
