Raquel Nelson’s four-year-old son was killed by a hit-and-run driver as she crossed four-lane Austell Road with her children last year.
The driver pleaded guilty and served a six-month sentence.
Nelson was also charged in her child’s death. She faces a longer sentence than the driver — up to three years. She was convicted of vehicular homicide and crossing outside a crosswalk.
