I am a motorcycle enthusiast and have not been scared of accidents until we came into this distracted driving epidemic. Now I only take joy rides in the country back roads. I’ve had four friends tell me of their close calls one today said a cell phone user actually clipped his side mirror as they were driving side by side. A few weeks ago, I found a real solution to the problem. People are not going to stop cell phone use while driving. I can clean my weed and roll a joint one handed while driving. I can certainly text driving with no problem.

R freedoms r going away kwik. Everytime someone gets hurt or killed or is slightly inconvenienced, crazed wimps cry to pass laws to ban whatever they were doing. C’mon ppl, use your gourds. Kids fall out of trees and break their arms from time to time. Gonna chop all the trees down next? Stay calm, be careful, and use some common sense. Some r able to text while driving, some r not. Some kids climb trees without falling, some fall. Stop robbing me of freedom and wasting my time. I knew a guy killed on a motorcycle. Do we ban motorcycles? Of course not. We all learn a lesson to be more careful and go on with our lives. Soon it will be illegal to go out of your house. You could get killed!

to dixiewife44, in California it is illegal to text while driving. I believe it was a smart move for cali. More and more teen’s die each year because of texing about something pointless while driving. Studies show even more wreck or die because of the cell phones then D.W.I.
As for everyone else, thank you for this interesting read people complaining about nonsense is always a great read.
And just so you know. I do not dare touch my phone while driving. I refuse for anyone while driving me talk or text on there phones..and it’s not a stereotype for young adults to do it. I am twenty years old and have never touched my phone while driving but I guess some people are complete douchebags who like to endanger others lives.

Good grief !! What the heck is wrong with people. Its a CAR not a phonebooth or office..

The states should start to pass a law probhibiting texting and using the cell phone while behind the wheel of a vehicle, and ENFORCE it ..

I text while driving sometimes. No I don’t slow down traffic. I prefer to do it while stopped at a red light, though.

And most of the people that are opposed to text messages are probably older than 40. It’s ok though, just don’t force your preferences on other people.
