For forty years, Michael Jackson was practically everywhere on the popular culture landscape. And while some of the fan reaction might seem a little off the wall, there’s no denying that most of us have vivid memories of the King of Pop.
So whether you were a casual fan, a die-hard or a hater, we want to know what the man’s music did for you. Did you ever roller disco to “Rock with You”? Or try to moonwalk? Introduce your kids to the Jackson 5?
Come with the memories! Everyone has a favorite MJ song or album. (Don’t deny it – we saw your toe tapping!)
What’s yours?

I thought when he set himself on fire was cool as **** – I mean that’s like heavy metal rock ‘n roll cool even though that’s not really his thing. It probably made Gene Simmons jealous.

I got the Thriller album for my 6th birthday… my sister and I practiced breakdancing to “Beat It” and it’s all on video!
For a good laugh, go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQHffsiKm48
We had some sweet moves back then, in 1984. The really awesome dancing is around 3:22.

His music did nothing for me. He sounded like a girl. He danced like he had bugs in his pants. Who is gonna miss a guy who slept with children? Good riddance, and to his fans I say, “Get a job”.

You people are disgusting. He was never convicted or even charged with anything! Why can’t we just focus on the good things he did for the world? Like inspiring thousands of artists and musicians? Or donating tons of money to help people in Africa by writing and recording “We Are The World?”
Alan, plenty of people care. Crazy Eddie, why bother to post if he did nothing for you? I’m sure that most of his fans, like me, have jobs and are productive members of society. And what does having a job have to do with it anyway? Y’all have no lives.
