ARRRGGGH, what’s your best pirate joke?
Shiver me timbers, who would have guessed that in 2009, one would see modern-day Blackbeards going up against the world’s greatest Navy?
On Wednesday, a pirate gang based in Somalia staged an unsuccessful attack on a second U.S. ship load with food aid. It came days after Navy Seals killed three young pirates who had kidnapped hijacked American sea captain, Richard Phillips of the Maersk Alabama.
Crime on the high seas is serious business, but pirates have long captured the attention of the adventurous.
So, we thought we’d put a humorous spin on the news.
We’re looking for a few good pirate jokes.
Here’s one: How much are bounty hunters getting for Somali pirates?

I cannot think of a “walk the plank” joke, at this moment. But I do know one Southern joke, that involves a large body of water: Two hippies were “sitting on the edge of the dock”, when one, (while snapping fingers, to make noise), reported: “Hey, man. Alligator, just bit off my leg!” Second hippie, (also snapping fingers to make noise): “Hey, man. Which one? First hippie: “You seen one alligator? You seen them all !”
