Looks like the new iPhone will make its debut next week.
Apple has invited the media to a Sept. 12 event with the notice “It’s almost here” and the big number 12, various media are reporting, including The Associated Press.
The event, which will begin at 1 p.m. Eastern time, will be held in San Francisco.
The Wall Street Journal reported last Friday that one of the new features will be a slimmer screen that integrates the touch screen with the LCD, thus eliminating the need for a separate touch screen layer.
According to CNET.com, the announcement about next week’s likely iPhone unveiling may confirm another recent rumor, which is that Apple will hold a separate event next month to debut a smaller version of the iPad.
Apple has been busy. While it preps for the new iPhone unveiling, it’s trying to cripple its biggest competitor, Samsung, by demanding that a federal court ban a ton of its phones and tablets from the U.S. market after Samsung lost a patent infringement lawsuit filed by the iPhone and iPad maker.

I feel bad for Robert, jealousy is that of the devil. And Paul, I feel what you meant but it seems that others can’t quite read well enough. The iPhone is only a couple hundred bucks, who cares. Buy one or not, I’ll be buying one 10 fold. I enjoy the feeling and weight of Apple’s iPhone and holding a Droid based phone typically feels cheap let alone the OS being an eye soar within the menus. If you don’t enjoy Apple, please bully us all into thinking like you! We like it!

This list of reasons to not use Apple is long, but to most they don’t understand half of the list. Reason enough for me is the fact they took 8 month to patch a java virus everyone knew about. They waited because “it wasnt a problem” and they feel they must control everything rather than letting sun push out the patch. Meanwhile, millions of machines were infected. 750k was the peak number – machines were healed while others were infected for an 8 month period. MS is awesome at patch management and pretty much runs most of the world’s servers because they’re that secure. Freaking techtards..

New features would be 4G LTE thru Sprint and better battery life. I like the form/features of my current iPhone but LTE is a welcome upgrade. Otherwise, surprise me Apple!
