Man rams Taco Bell over missing 99-cent taco

Taco Bell employees working a drive-thru Tuesday morning were the latest to feel a customer’s wrath after getting an order wrong.

According to police in Huber Heights, Ohio, a 23-year-old man was so incensed that he was missing a 99 cent taco after pulling off from a Taco Bell drive-thru that he returned and rammed an entrance with his pickup truck.

The man, who was not identified, first drove back to the drive-thru, yelled at employees for making the mistake and snatched the taco from an employee after one was made for him, according to a report by ABC 22. The customer then sped off but not before smashing a side entrance.

Police were able to follow a trail of fluid from the smashed truck and arrest the customer, who was charged with felony vandalism after admitting to the destruction, police said.

Two weeks ago, two men were arrested in Murfreesboro, Tenn., after throwing a brick and piece of concrete through a McDonald’s drive-thru window after ordering cheeseburgers without onions and ketchup but getting the burgers with both. The men, who said they were angry their orders were “messed up,” were charged with reckless endangerment, vandalism and public intoxication. A McDonald’s manager and employee were injured by flying glass

my the culprits can turn around and sue the fast food vendors. maybe it was the additives, pink slime, or hot coffee that lead them to do the crimes. This is “Merica” where we can sue people for our own stupidity. Faith in humanity still here, faith in fellow Americans is in question though.

Legalize It

Yet another example of why marijuana should be legalized and is less destructive than alcohol. A person high on marijuana would probably have forgotten ordering the other 99 cent taco. In the previous case at McDonald’s a person high on marijuana would most likely have had the munchies and therefore not care that the burger did in fact include unwanted ketchup and onions.

Who Cares?

Do you really think those working fast food counters and drive ups really care? I rarely eat fast food and when I do I NEVER use the drive-thru! It helps with blood pressure to check your order at the counter anyway, because about 95% of the time the order’s wrong. About the only hope for a pleasant experience and an accurate order fill is at Chick-fil-A. Besides, as sorry and lazy as we Americans have become, the drive-thru line usually wraps around the building, while the front service counter is empty. Oh well, you get what you deserve!

I have YET to go to a fast food place and get what I order. Either they mess up what I want, or leave something out. Put some English-speaking people in the order windows, and MAYBE they’ll get it right.

What is wrong with people. What kind of world do we live in where poor customer service is okay and those who are angry about it are villains? These people are the extreme but who has not wanted to drive through the front door from time to time. I specifically asked for no nuts on any donuts and my child almost went into shock. Or the time he wanted to try thai food and they apparently cook with peanut oil.

I am not surprsied that when you combine the absolutely horrible service, order accuracy, ability to speak clearly, and food quality that looks and tastes anything but the commercials and promotions with the increased percentage of morons traveling about that the result is creating a new drive thru with one’s vehicle. I went to a drive trhu at a brand new McD’s this moning, grand opening. The order taker could not make a complete clear sentence, awful 1st impression. So let’s see, you have a brand new franchise that cost you 450K, and for your grand opening you place an ebonics attitude on the drive thru to giove your customers their first impression. Makes no sense. These days I stick with Chic Fil A. Great product, great employees who are articulate and customer focused, consistent experience. Seems like franchise owners of other brands would get the message.

WOW! How about if you make it yourself, you may be assured that you will make it the way that you want. When you think about it you go somewhere to have them make what you could make and you get mad when they don’t do the job you should be doing for yourself. Well then don’t go to that McDonalds.

The comments made for this story are indicative of how far we have fallen. You know what you do when you don’t the level of service you want? You stop patronizing the business! Period! Most of the people complaining here will continue to patronize businesses with “supposed” bad service, and whine like entitled children. You want a 99 cent burger, you get 99 cent service, just makes me appreciate it all the more when I do get great service.

What makes this even more sick is the attempts to justify the behavior in the article, even if it is half-hearted, you people are psychos that will likely die very early.

If the worst problem I ever have is getting my order wrong at a drive through, life will be pretty good. These idiots need to spend some time with people who really have problems. Let them volunteer at a food bank where people are really hungry and would gladly eat a messed up food order or even an order minus one 99 cent taco.

The scarest part, these people are allowed to both vote and reproduce. This is a perfect example of what results when cousins have children with each other. – inbreeding is frowned upon with dogs but rarely mention in people.

I can understand the man’s frustration I ordered food at Taco Bell of four items the gentleman that came in after me order the box of tacos. They gave him his order first and I complained and the girl said we were told to rush those through and ignore all of the orders ahead of them. I almost wanted to leap across the counter and grab my food I did complain and of course they gave me the wrong food when I complained they again gave me the wrong food again. I left without my food and have not returned. I called thier main corporate office and they did nothing. They care nothing about you. Why do you want to eat there anyway the food is substandard.

McDonald’s is by far the worse fastfood chain when it comes to customer service. Communication is essential, yet they employees at the front counter that are unable to speak English. I once ordered a Big Mac and instead of the special sauce it had tartar sauce.
