Toyo Tire hiring 200 workers

Toyo Tire said Thursday it plans to hire another 200 workers for its plant in White, Georgia, which is in Bartow County.

The labor expansion is in response to increased production and ongoing investments at the plant, the company said in a news release.

Toyo is seeking highly skilled maintenance technicians, as well as production workers for the plant, which was named Georgia Manufacturer of the Year in 2009.

The company said qualified candidates should visit the Cartersville Department of Labor for more information. It’s located at 19 Felton Place, Cartersville, 30120.

Good luck, all!

Toyo was given huge incentives to locate here. But 200 jobs is 200 jobs. I’m afraid you’ll find the pay disappointing.

I do have a question. Considering how hard it is to get a job how long after a person gets a job or any job do they realize the job sucks and they want to quit? First paycheck..First hour?

So far no interviews for nothing. Was making 50k, unfortunately I refuse to take a cut in pay that is less than mu unemployment.

Good for Toyo. They could have located south of the border where they would have people lined up to work jobs for $1.50 an hour. Instead they located here. These employees will feed their families, pay into Georgia and US income taxes as well as Social Security. The next time I need tires, I’ll try to find a Toyo dealer and give a job to a US citizen.

$15 is the starting pay, not the top out average which I assume would be about $5 higher/hr. That translates to over $45,000 a year which is a pretty decent salary. As far as I know, NOTS Logistics is still handling shipments. The plant is a good place to work. It’s new and still going through some “growing pains” but the technology is incredible. For the 650 that are currently employed there have been over 40,000 applications received. Good luck getting hired.

I took the assessment test for Toyo and had an interview months ago. I haven’t heard anything since. I have no income as I have been out of work since January of last year. I would be happy to get paid $15.00 an hour.

I just found this out today, where do you apply or send your resume? Is it at the plant?
