The Wall Street Journal calls Apple’s new iPhone 4, which will be officially rolled out Thursday, “a major leap forward” over its predecessor in both hardware and software.
It has some downsides, the WSJ says. The most important one is the overwhelmed AT&T network in the U.S.
But overall, “Apple has delivered a big, well-designed update that … keeps it in the lead in the smartphone wars,” the WSJ says in a comprehensive review.

^ what about when u travel? do you get 3g outside most major cities? I don’t know how to work my phone? I do know how to work it which is why I get great coverage , Look im not saying that the iphone is bad but if all these people are complaining about att network then there must be something to it , people do complain about verizon and others but the complaints aren’t nearly as bad as att it seems ,

This 65+ grandma has a G3 and LOVES it! Great apps for keeping in touch when I travel plus use constantly to find places to visit and how to get there while on a trip. I will upgrade to a G4 just as soon as my current contract expires and they offer me a discounted price on it. Many of my friends have iPhones and we freely admit they’re toys. If I just wanted to make phone calls my old “beam me up, Scotty” flip phone would work. So long as you can afford them, toys are fun!
