Bank failures in Georgia — a nation leading 24 since August of last year — have scrambled the financial landscape here.
AJC reporter Paul Donsky writes that four of the 10 largest banks based in Atlanta have failed and two others are in trouble.
That leaves others with a prime opportunity to pick up market share.
“The community banks have an opportunity to capitalize on that, provided they have the financial strength to take advantage of the vacuum in the market that’s being created,” bank consultant Byron Richardson told Donsky.
