The worst part of being unemployed is losing one's health insurance. Most uninsured patients arent sure who to turn to when they are sick. We really do feel their pain. So we decided to come up with a low flat fee of $65 for folks who are unemployed and unisured. we might not be able to change the unemployment rate but we are doing the best we can to keep folks alive while they look for jobs

I work independently purchasing real estate and renting it out, and have done this for 11 years. My portfolio is still worth a lot more than what I paid for it. However, with all of the lay offs and people "bundling up" or moving in with relatives, I have had to cut rents and endure more vacancies. My income has been reduced this year. However, there is one bright spot, the cost of hiring contractors has gone down a lot. The cost of carpenters, plumbers, and electricians is almost half of what it was last year. Also, the quality of workers has improved tremenously. Building materials have also gone down in price. If anyone has extra money in their budget and are considering any home improvements, now is the time. You will be helping out the local economy while getting a good deal.
I have had a lot of work done this year at a fraction of what it would have cost 2 years ago. It cost me this year $600 in labor to build a new deck(300 sq ft,2 sets of stairs,& seveal footers in concrete). The man that did the job was a carpenter with 30 yrs of experience.

Eman - Are you serious? LOLing "Being a minority, makes it extra hard to find a quality job in GA. " Dude - you are the majority here and extremely bigoted. "When people turn you down because there is a more experience older white person than you". Again - seriously? READ what you WROTE!!! > 1.more experience 2.older. Why the heck would someone hire you when there is someone more qualified than you. That is not racism my friend, that is called realism. Also is it 3 years or 5 years of experience? It is one or the other. You have no business having an MBA anyway - an MBA is for someone with years of work experience who knows how to leverage it. You sir, do not have a clue. I, for one, would never hire an MBA with no real world experience. Sorry pal - that's real life for ya! Maybe it is time for you to go back to DeVry an pay another $80k for another worthless degree. Cheers!!!

I was laid off in March. I have seven years business development experience and fifteen years of administrative experience. I do not have a degree. I'm finding either I'm over qualified for positions or under qualified. Can't seem to find anything in the middle.

Tired of hearing about "socialism". Really tired of that nonsense. Call it something else. Or go look at the last paystub you recieved. What you paid in is more than they pay to the government in some commmunist countries. I just love paying off debt so the to big to fail, care, rack up billions of dollars banks. So is that what Capitalism? Socialism? Give me some kind of description for the money I DON'T GET out of all that money I pay in and someone else does.

So it's not socialism. It's not communisism. I guess capitalist must mean something to. Could be just take my money every month and burn it. Tell me what the hell is it?

Another crazy one "made too much money before". Any company that throws that out there is insane. Make an offer and people like Mary will probably take it. Then here's the key, when the economy rebounds companies will have to raise salaries to keep people from leaving. I know this is blatantly obvious, but talking to HR people about economics is like explaining rocket science to pre-schoolers.

Nov 1st will be 2 yrs since my position "was eliminated" due to the housing market. I worked for the same company for over 30yrs and have experience in a full range of duties from clerical, product mgmt, and sales. I have not been able to find a job even at minimum wage. Take you pick...........over qualified, no college education, too old, made too much money in former "life". I WANT TO WORK!!!!!!!
