I have tried networking before. I have found that if you have limited interest in what you are pursuing. It either becomes boring or you don’t like or want to do it.

It may be my own independence or creativity. I like ideas better than networking. Ideas more than likely will leed to networking. I found it is comforting to get in your own space. Have ideas. I think it’s a blast to go through my ideas to see what could possibly work. Then act on them. I say this for those who may be experincing faluire with networking. Try something new! You just may find that your mind can do more than you know.

Networking rarely yields a desired result.

Success is built on relationships and trust. That being said, the challenge is how to start to build meaningful, sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships.

The surest way is personal introductions that endorse you. Going to cattle call networking events to rub elbows with back benchers rarely is worth the effort or time.

Job Networking events and even business networking events I have found (Have been to over over 100 at least) are a way for a facility (Chamber of Commerce’s, Networking groups, etc.) to gain value to thier organizations and have no real value in growing a business or to gain a job. Most have a core group that hang out like it is happy hour and they don’t have a family or a life. If you have some type of revolutionary idea or would like feedback on this idea it might be worth it to go to a few to see what type of feedback you get but make sure the idea has a copyright and backing or someone will just take the idea and put a greater amount of funding behind it that you may have the ability to do. Just my thoughts – good luck to all those looking for a job.
