Branding is key to a company’s success.
Lots of readers commented yesterday when we asked what you thought about Southwest Airline’s possible service in and out of Atlanta.
Lots of others readers commented recently when we asked about Chick-fil-A’s new spicy sandwich — a move the Atlanta-based chain had been studying for a long time.
Drinks like Coke and Mountain Dew often get similar responses.
Is there a particular brand that really gets to you — emotionally? Or a brand that you really need to lambast? Why?
Get inside Atlanta\'s business world and find out how it affects you.

I can’t believe this is even a question for the AJC.

I’m not a fan of Dasani water. It’s tap water filtered. So why buy it ?! But I love Angel Soft (both Atlanta brands).

Suntrust… I will not trust the sun.
Almost all bottled water is 90% filtered tap water.

I can not believe that all of these “imported” Atlantans did not mention Pepsi!!!!!!! Living in the home of Coca-Cola and not even mentioning Pepsi is a utter disgrace. Also, got to love Chick-fil-A

Kentucky Fried Chicken. (KFC) Their recent “free sandwich” promotion on Ophra was a fiasco. I had one of the coupons, two days after the offer, I stopped at 2 KFCs to redeem the coupon, but my then, they had stopped honoring the coupon due to the high demand.
I will not be visiting KFC again, especially after I complained to the company and was promised another coupon which would be mailed to me. I’m still waiting.

This might sound like a “hack” line, but I can’t stand the ajc brand.
I vividly remember the first anniversary of 9-11. The ajc marked the date by offering an article on how it effected Muslim women over the 12 month span.
That pretty much sums it up.

Dasani water – it is drawn out of our Chatahoochie River (at a much lower rate than I pay for city water as a homeowner), is filtered, and sold for an obscene price.

I figure that if it says it’s Democrat, it means it’s really, really evil.

hi,cgatlanta,
What is wrong with ajc’s article about how 9-11 effected Muslim women in America. As a U.S citizen,Muslim woman who wears hijab or a head cover I can tell you it effected me greatly I get dirty looks all the time when some people see my cloth, of course I have nothing to do with 9-11.I am proud to call ajc my home town paper goajc.

U-HAUL. All of their trucks advertise “Rent Me for $19.95.
But we all know this is a crock…one can not rent a truck for less than $65 to $80 bucks. If the trucks read, “Rent Me for 8 hours for $100″ then I would not have issue.

I hate Comcast with a passion. I wanted to upgrade my service to digital – I got charged $100 in fees. They even admitted they were fees for flipping a switch. They get more $ every month, but still Fee Me, Then they just pulled that even if you pay for digital TV – they will now pull that service from any tv that doesn’t have a box. Hypothetically we’ll get two “free” but I’m sure they’ll come with the monthly “digital fee” they give us. Plus, what if you have more tv’s than Comcast deems acceptable. I have an extra in the guest bedroom – now it won’t get any channels except the networks. I hate this company, they’re horrible – their customer service is 100% dreadful. their pricing is 100% dreadful. But unfortunately they have some exclusive channels that my husband insists we need. So we’re stuck with them. But I hate them with a passion and go out of my way to talk anyone I can out of using their service! Booooooo Comcast.

I only buy Coca-Cola. Will not buy Pepsi unless I’m dying of thirst and it’s the only option. For bottled water, we buy Deer Park. For paper towels, we buy Bounty. We’re pretty open to many other brands for other products, though.

Ticketmaster is the one brand I can’t stand. I don’t attend concerts that go thru them solely because they’re handling the tickets. I’ll drive 50 miles to a box office to buy in person to avoid them. I’d actually pay more for a ticket if Ticketmaster didn’t get revenue from it, that would be worth a premium of probaby 50% of the ticket cost.

I am pretty much attracted to the brand that will save me money, except, it has to be a coca-cola product and NOTHING comes from Wal-Mart.

PEPSI. I have LOVED them since a child. Coke=kerosene. The only place that I enjoy a Coke is McDonalds, another brand I love. And Chick-Fil-A is the best chicken sandwich ever.

I agree with asdf. The “convenience” of buying online is not worth a 20% premium above the ticket price. Ticketmaster’s “convenience fee” is just a different way of saying “ticket monopoly”. It’s time the Obama Justice Dept did something about this company’s practice of raping consumers.

Ah, yes -
HATE Ticketmaster as well!
As for Comcast, it’s a love-hate relationship, because I have moved around so many times and have experienced about all the big cable companies out there. Comcast is the best of the worst if that makes sense!
Good try, Price. But when I think Arbonne, the other brand that comes to mind is Amway aka Quixtar. Need I say more?
