Will you try Chick-fil-A’s new spicy sandwich?

Over the years, many customers have asked Chick-fil-A to spice up its menu.

Well, the Atlanta-based chain is finally going to do it. AJC reporter Joe Guy Collier writes that it will roll out a new spicy fried chicken sandwich next year.

Will you try it? Do you think it’s a good move? Or do you think Chick-fil-A is messing with a good thing?

Chick-fil-A had been wary of adding another fried chicken sandwich to its menu, even though competitors like Wendy’s and Burger King have put spicy chicken offerings in their line-ups, Collier writes.

Given the competition, do you think Chick-fil-A is too late to the party?

Will the new sandwich just take sales from the existing offerings? Or will it add to the total?

Chick-fil-A can do no wrong when it comes to chicken sandwiches.

I will be ordering them by the truck load when they arrive. I trust them with my chicken sandwich life.

After my brother and I attended the same function a few years back that the Cathy sons happened to be at and seeing how they handled themselves we vowed never to eat at Chick-fil-A again and we haven’t.

So I guess that answers your question.

How someone handles themselves has nothing to do with how a sandwich might taste. I trust Chic-Fil-A with all their products and always look forward to the next visit. These people can do no wrong in food. I have enjoyed everthing I have ever tried on their menu as has many members of my family. While I don’t go as often as I want to, I think the company and Truett Cathy stand for everything good!

Try it? Hell, I’ll probably live on it. I love spicy chicken sandwiches, and I love Chic-Fil-A, but there traditional chicken sandwich has always been a long-term bore… but a spicy sandwich, coupled with one of their milk shakes, and I just might move in!

I still for the life of me, don’t understand why, WHY, didn’t Chick-fil-A use it’s home base of Atlanta as a test market for the spicy sandwich. Or they could have just asked me. I already love it and I haven’t even had one.

If it starts attracting a bunch of THUG clientele like KFC and Popeye’s have done with their additions of spicy menu offerings, it could hurt Chick-fil-a’s business.

I would not want that to happen.

Wendy’s has a very good spicy chicken sandwich. Of course, it carries enough grease to make a cardiologist break into tears. It’s very crunchy unlike the Chick Fil-A that has a mushy softer texture. Makes me wonder if the spicy sandwich will be crispy or have the same texture of the current Chick Fil-A?

It just so happens that a lot of folks don’t care to dine with the thug element and that goes for any restaurant, not only Chick-fil-a. I like Wendy’s somewhat spicy chicken sandwich and hope that Chick-fil-a is a touch more spicy than Wendy’s.

I have since eaten at a few of their other sites and I just can’t understand how anyone can complain about Mr. Cathy, the food, the staff,or his decision to close on Sunday. Some of the negative comments above are simply without basis, logic, or truth.

Im back in California for my summer vacay 4rm college and I guess we were testers because when I got home I noticed it on the menu…I love their original sandwich but I love spicy chicken even more…I decided to try it and it was SOOOO good ! I called my friends 4rm back at school (who are in florida and atl) to tell them about it and they got all excited to only find out that it wasn’t offered everywhere yet so they we’re dissapointed. Back to the question though; I have tried it and its really good, I like it better than wendy’s spicy chicken and that was my all time favorite. Honestly the two can’t be compared in my opinion though…wendy’s is seasoned with “spices” while this one is infused.
