Over the years, many customers have asked Chick-fil-A to spice up its menu.
Well, the Atlanta-based chain is finally going to do it. AJC reporter Joe Guy Collier writes that it will roll out a new spicy fried chicken sandwich next year.
Will you try it? Do you think it’s a good move? Or do you think Chick-fil-A is messing with a good thing?
Chick-fil-A had been wary of adding another fried chicken sandwich to its menu, even though competitors like Wendy’s and Burger King have put spicy chicken offerings in their line-ups, Collier writes.
Given the competition, do you think Chick-fil-A is too late to the party?
Will the new sandwich just take sales from the existing offerings? Or will it add to the total?

Yeah, I’ll try it. I just hope it isn’t 5 bucks like Wendy’s. And that attempt made by Mickey D’s to copy is really lame!

I am not a big fan of spicy, so, no, I will not try it. My husband will though. And, we have never been to a Chick-fil-A or Truett’s and had religion forced upon us.

I often ate at the original Dwarf House in College Park when it was the only place you could get a Chick-fil-a. I have since eaten at a few of their other sites and I just can’t understand how anyone can complain about Mr. Cathy, the food, the staff,or his decision to close on Sunday. Some of the negative comments above are simply without basis, logic, or truth.

Yes, I would try a spicy chicken. As long as it is not so hot that it burns my mouth, I should like it.

I like nuggets dipped in mayo/hotsauce mixture. it is my spicy chicken when i go to CFA. I may try the new s-wich, but it probably won;t be as tasty as my usual fare…

I ate lunch at the original Chick fil A in Hapeville Tuesday. They have a policeman directing traffic so everyone can get in and out. They are open 24/6 and sometimes I go there late at night when the urge for Ice Dream comes over me.

Jeff -
Go pound sand, you rude atheist sissy.
When you are roasting in Hell and slurping on Satan’s rectum, the rest of will still blessed enough to enjoy both Spicy & Original CHICK-FIL-A sandwiches 6 days a week.
Have a nice day.

Im back in California for my summer vacay 4rm college and I guess we were testers because when I got home I noticed it on the menu…I love their original sandwich but I love spicy chicken even more…I decided to try it and it was SOOOO good ! I called my friends 4rm back at school (who are in florida and atl) to tell them about it and they got all excited to only find out that it wasn’t offered everywhere yet so they we’re dissapointed. Back to the question though; I have tried it and its really good, I like it better than wendy’s spicy chicken and that was my all time favorite. Honestly the two can’t be compared in my opinion though…wendy’s is seasoned with “spices” while this one is infused.

In reply to i love fatties—If we were all thin the mags, tv,and newspapers would be full of ads for products to help us gain weight. All you “healthy” folks would then jump on that bandwagon.

Hey Jeff! I hope you don’t vote….That’s what makes this country great; you can rise or fall on your own merits. When you have made (and given away) as much money as Truett Cathy, let me know. I will be the first to ask for your autograph….

Can anyone who has eaten the new sandwich tell us more about what it is like? My dream is that it is very similar to the classic fried sandwich in texture, but with a spicier coating. In any case, I’m definitely looking forward to trying it!

Chick-Fil-A has the greatest chicken sandwich EVER! And now they’re adding a SPICY one?
Oh, and DUMBASSES…review the food and talk about the food. NO ONE wants to hear about your religious/life choices. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE FOOD MORONS!

Chick-fil-a needs to take the MSG out of their food before they worry about creating new menu items. For those of you who don’t believe it, check their website.

It’s true, the last time I ate at Chick-fil-a, I blacked out, and woke up in the middle of a Baptism. You’ve all been warned.

This particular sandwich has already been out in certain marekts. Jacksonville, to name one. I emailed chick-fil-a last year asking when the will bring it to the Atlanta are and they could not give me an exact time frame. It is a GREAT sandwich!! I have been waiting on it for a while now….until then…I guess I will keep getting it when I go to J’ville!!!!

I’ve been adding hot sauce & mayo to my fried Chick-fil-A sandwich for years. So hoorah to Chick-fil-A for adding this.
