The strategy seems to be working- "Politrics" the are of divide and conquer. While we were are all living the life of luxury in new homes- the new car or high interest Pre-Owned vehicles to impress others the political machine in Atlanta and Washington DC told us all- don't worry be happy- we will take care of you. Now the truth is government does not create jobs- except civil service jobs-and look at how they are perfoming ex- the Post Office.

Lets stop falling for the same game- its not one group taking jobs from another, of any programs helping more of one color or class... we are all in the same sinking boat. If we keep looking at each other as enemies- we will never see the real wizard behind the curtain ( Wizard of Oz) is playing us all for suckers as he/she keeps the safe job of political gamer-and we are loosing the game.

WELL, THINGS SEEM TO HAVE CALMED DOWN HERE.
I HAVE GONE BACK AND REREAD SOME OF THE
POSTS, AND I SEE THAT WE'RE IN MORE TROUBLE
THAN I ORIGINALLY THOUGHT. I HONESTLY THINK
THAT MANY OF YOU SUFFER FROM OPTORECTILITIS.
ASK YOUR EYE DOCTOR OR PROCTOLOGIST TO
DIAGNOSE YOUR CASE. IT IS SCARY THAT SOME OF
YOU ARE ACTUALLY OUT IN THE GENERAL PUBLIC
ALONE AND UNRESTRAINED. TO THINK THAT SOME
OF YOU ARE ALLOWED TO VOTE IS WAY BEYOND
MY COMPREHENSION. TIM, YOU ARE A RAY OF SUN-
SHINE ON A CLOUDY DAY. BUT, YOU SHOULD NEVER
ARGUE WITH A FOOL, BECAUSE THEY WILL DRAG
YOU DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL. YOU CAN EDUCATE AN
IGNORANT PERSON, BUT YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING
ABOUT STUPID. THOSE STUPID ONES ARE THE ONES
THAT PUT PRESIDENT "HUSSEIN" IN OFFICE. HE'S IN,
SO WE WILL HAVE TO DO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE.
CHEATING ON INCOME TAX COMES TO MIND. YOU
WILL HAVE TO HIDE YOUR GUNS AND DRIVE A SMALL
CAR THAT RUNS ON BULL DUNG. OH, DON'T WORRY
WHERE YOU'LL GET THE BULL DUNG, WASHINGTON
D.C. IS CHOCK FULL IF IT.COME TO THINK OF IT "YOUR"
PRESIDENT IS MORE THAN FULL OF IT. IN CLOSING,
LET ME SAY THIS. RIGHT NOW YOU HAVE A CONGRESS
FULL OF DEMOCRAT YES MEN. NEXT YEAR ONE THIRD
OF THEM COME UP FOR ELECTION. LAUGH THEM OUT
OF OFFICE. FIRE THEM AND START PLANNING TO DO
THE SAME THING TWO YEARS FROM THEN. IT IS A
LITTLE HARDER TO DO THE SAME THING TO THE 100
SENATORS BECAUSE THEY HAVE SIX YEAR TERMS.
BEFORE I GO, I'M ASKING FOR ONE OR MORE TO
ESCORT THE UNEMPLOYED GRANDMA BACK TO
WHEREVER SHE ESCAPED FROM. MUCHIAS GRACIAS.

Our politicians, government and corporations caused the mess we're in right now all for the sake of a dollar. When they opted to use H-1B Visa workers where corporations can pay them less and the government gives them incentives for hiring them, why would they even think about hiring an American Citizen. If they really want to fix this mess, they have got to get the American Citizens back to working. As long as they continue to offshore jobs and use non citizens here on work visas, the problem will only get worse. The good thing is that eventually those that are in power and making these decisions will one day suffer for their consequences. Who would have thought 10 years ago that some of the big corporations that have failed recently would have happened. I can't understand how corporate executives can't understand that no matter how cheaply they can get their products or services done by using non american citizens, if we are not working, we are not buying.

Jim: You had me LOL with this comment... you should be a professional satirist:
Business succeeds by making good business decisions to grow and remain competitive – this is where jobs come from. Business decisions and political decisions are like water and oil - they do not mix.

Fact is that business swamps the Fed gov't with an army of lobbyists intent on preserving their monopolies, erecting barriers to thwart any looming competition. Our government is owned by corporate interests. That's why our country is in such a mess.

What we're seeing now is simply the legacy of Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush bending over to Wall Street. It took a long time to get here and we aren't going to get out of it any time soon, regardless whether we abolish all taxes.
(By the way, if we're going to abolish taxes, let's start with local and state property taxes please before we fund anymore corporate exec. million dollar anniversary parties with vodka peeing statues.)

Govt should be pushing more monies into fostering industries that create green collar jobs. All the blue collar people that have been laid off in this country have to do something. Georgia is still better off than places like Michigan, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, etc. What are all those unemployed people going to do? This is when wierd radical groups start getting created.
A green economy is the way to go. You could be putting armies of people to work upgrading utilities and infrastructure. There is a huge amount of need. And we can wean ourselves away from China and the need for ever more oil in the middle east.

@Rick

No job = No PAYCHECK with which to "let you keep more of your money".

No paycheck = no TAXES taken in the form of income taxes

No paycheck = NO MONEY TO SPEND!

"How about letting the people (that would be us) keep more of the money we have earned"?? (that was you Rick)

So tell me again how your broke d--- logic provides for job creation by letting us "keep more of the money we have earned" again?
