Yep, Pickens has his ducat$ in row, his info is good. Bye-Bye Caps and Trades

Potential Gas Committee reports unprecedented increase in magnitude of U.S. natural gas resource base

Excerpt:

The Committee’s year-end 2008 assessment of 1,836 Tcf (statistically aggregated mean value) consists of 1,673 Tcf of gas attributable to traditional reservoirs and 163 Tcf in coalbed reservoirs. Compared to year-end 2006, traditional resources increased by nearly 519 Tcf (45%), while coalbed gas resources decreased by 3 Tcf (1.9%), resulting in a net increase in total potential resources of 515 Tcf (39%). (See accompanying Table 1.)

These changes have been assessed in addition to the 41 Tcf of marketed domestic natural gas production recorded during the two-year period since the Committee’s previous report.

When the PGC’s results are combined with the U.S. Department of Energy's latest available determination of proved gas reserves, 238 Tcf as of year-end 2007, the United States has a total available future supply of 2,074 Tcf, an increase of 542 Tcf over the previous evaluation….

Some very good news to hear came by way of T. Boone Pickens today appearing on the Glenn Beck Show.
In fact, it is so incredible it is still very difficult for me to believe but as Boone Pickens stated the United States has 2,000 trillion cubic feet of Natural Gas, which would mean we have more Natural Gas than Russia. By heretofore conventional held wisdom Russia was number one in world Natural Gas reserves. Now we are. That's right. The U.S. holds more Natural Gas than any other nation on earth according to Pickens claim and Pickens generally knows what he is talking about when it comes to anything oil and Natural Gas or anything energy per se for that matter. After all, he's only a billionaire because of that knowledge.

So what's the big deal, why all the bluster? Very simple, the U.S. has enough Natural Gas to power everything that moves on dirt or on the roadways with Natural Gas for a very long time to come without using any virtually any oil, foreign or domestic.

DRILL BABY, DRILL!!!!!

The country should be going with Natural Gas for automobiles, heavy trucks, equipment and heavy equipment coupled with nuclear energy for mainstay electrical power generation, to include updating and upgrade the electric grid.

Voila, Energy Independence in less than a decade and no real need of Caps and Trades.

Wait a minute, is that comrade Al Gore over in the corner crying, with comrades Pelosi and Reid comforting him?

Oh I do so hate to see a grown Dunkey cry.

The environmentalists cry for the whales, they cry for the bees, they cry for the trees, and now the the threat of CO2 (which is a natural gas that trees use to produce oxygen), when will they take the time to cry for the future of their own children? "Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces." Matthew 7:6
Cap and Trade is nothing more than legalized racketeering. Past corporate levels, every American citizen will be paying a made up tax based upon their home-carbon usage, how many cars do you have, boats, motorcycles, weedeater, etc. to the point where we will all be in bread lines. This administration wants a country of citizens reliant upon Government programs, welfare, socialized health, etc. Does anyone who supports socialized healthcare realize that where they live is where they will receive their primary care?? For example I live in a small town (2,000 est. pop), under socialized healthcare my family would be required to attend our local hospital (which is a joke, last time we went there the nurses/Dr. recommended we take our son to another hospital in leiu of them giving him stitches) instead of being able to commute to a more reliable hospital 30 miles away. Why does this matter folks, because with Cap and Trade the higher the Unemployment rate climbs (due to companies closing their doors from Cap and Trade fees) the more appealing Socialized Healthcare becomes as a needed necessity for Americans, which is then easier passed. It is about Socialism, not saving the world, so the leftwingers can quit making comments about "when are the Republicans going to wake up and get on board", there is no board to get on. All of you environment worry-warts, do yourself a favor and look up John Coleman, founder of the Weather Channel, one of the most respected weather scientists and see what he says about global warming. You may feel much better after you check it out, maybe your worry over the environment will be replaced by a new worry, a worry of what the current Administration is trying to sell us.
Has anyone taken the time to notice while the media has been busy with Michael Jackson and the media slaughtering Sarah Palin (kind of funny that Sarah Palin and her family was everything that the Democrats supposedly supported, women's right's, young unwed-mother, a special needs child, a woman who demanded equal rights and they went after her harder than cheetah on a gazelle) and her family to the point of exhaustion that our very own President has people working on changing the term of the Presidency?? Fiction you say??? Believe it. Pull your head out of mainstream media and do some research beyond what is recommended by birds of the same feather.

Obama is taking over everything, utilities,Cars,Health Care,Finances..And now with this new ACORN census bullcrap, He is gonna take away our freedom by fining us fees if we don't answer all of ACORN'S questions when they call us.....I feel sick to my stomach for my kids.....They are the ones that are really gonna pay for this......This horrific, condeming way of comunism or(hitlerism) this world has seen in over 60 years...Please talk to your neighbors and have them talk to their neighbors and vote these liberals and liberal republicans out in the next few years.......for our kids and their kids sake

This is simply another plan to grow government and make us all rely on government instead of ourselves for everything we need. In the eyes of the democracts, we Americans are simply incapable of deciding what is best for us. It is nanny government's job to look out for us and make sure we don't eat too much ice cream or burn too much gasoline or eat too much red meat or have too much fun enjoying life.
