Yes, it’s that time again. Let’s talk about pizza.
It’s been almost two-and-a-half years since we last asked about pizza in Atlanta, so we definitely need to update this one.
It’s said that even when it’s bad, it’s still pretty good. But why eat bad pizza when there’s so much good stuff out there? First, we need to know where to find that amazing pizza. That’s where you come in. Whether it’s thin and crispy or thick and chewy, we want to hear about your favorite place for a slice (or a whole pie).
Tell us your pick for the best place to get pizza in and around Atlanta, and what makes it so special.

Roll Turd Roll,,,, Dante moved to Austell rd near South Cobb high school. He turned the business over to his son, but it wasn’t the same. A couple of ex white coller guys took over the location and had pretty good pizza, but alas, they also went out of business.

If we go out for pizza we only eat with Jeff. The pie is fantastic, the waitstaff are wonderful, and the wine list is great.

How has no one said DaVido’s yet? With an ad budget like they have, how can it not be awesome?
Seriously though, Antico, Fritti, Varasano’s, Rosa’s, and then the much missed and now defunct (again) Jagger’s. I miss you Jagger’s…

I don’t know what y’all are talking about.
If I want an authentic NY slice… I don’t mean Neopolitan, or nuevo-whatever, I’m talking about a big freaking NY slice with meatball that you have to fold… if I want that, then I’m driving back to Athens and getting me some Little Italy’s.
And that’s the truth. If you want actual authentic NY style pizza in this state, it’s Little Italy’s or nothing.
The location is Gainesville is pretty good, but the one in Winder should be avoided.

I have two picks. Blue Moon Pizza in Marietta and Sandy Springs. They have the best crust that I have tasted. When I eat a pizza from here, I eat the crust and all there is literally nothing left. The other indgredients are excellent too. Plus the staff here is very friendly and the owners are also. My second choice is OZ pizza in Fairburn. The pizzas from these two places are very similar. The crust is very good. Not as good as Blue Moon but still good. The ingredients are fresh and I love their sauce. They have an excellent lunch special and they are always tops on my lunch rotation.

What a sham this is. KirbyG’s actually WON best burger after spamming the crap out of the comments? And then promptly posted “voted best burger in Atlanta” right at the top of their website?
I think I’m done here. Thanks, though.

Antico Pizza, period.
This pizza is in the traditional Neapolitan style – where pizza was invented – and is all kinds of delicious.
Also very good and a close second is Fritti. Nothing else I have tried in Atlanta matches up to these two.

Mama’s Pizza on Old Milton Parkway in Alpharetta, of course! Best pizza this side of New York. Jimmy started the tradition and now son Jimmy carries it on. Hands down the best pizza and the freshest salads you’ve ever tasted.

PS – in case you’re wondering about Bryan’s comments – he doesn’t even like pizza- gets his name on email lists just so he can feel good trashing restaurants. And he doesn’t believe that other restaurants solicit votes either. Probably a Liberal………… and a bitter one at that…
