YOUR PICKS (local)
1. The Colonnade
You say, “The Colonnade has really good sweet tea!”

2. Busy Bee Café
3. Mary Mac’s Tea Room
4. OK Café
5. Eats

chickfila_chicken sandwichWhen it comes to chains, Chick-fil-A comes out way ahead for best place to get sweet tea.

YOUR PICKS (chain)
1. Chick-fil-A
You say, “Chick-fil-a for the most consistently good sweet tea. I do ask them to mix sweet and unsweetened. That being said, I would prefer good tea that is a bit too sweet to hearing “we only have unsweetened tea.” I only expect to hear that in the north, not in GA!”

2. Publix
3. McDonald’s
4. Waffle House

OUR PICKS
1. Greenwood’s
The AJC dining team’s specialist in Southern and Neighborhood Fare Jenny Turknett says, “Greenwood’s on Green Street remains my favorite place to get my sweet tea fix. The tea is smooth and refreshing rather than bitter and cloyingly sweet.”

2. Mary Mac’s Tea Room
3. Chick-fil-a
4. Bantam & Biddy
5. Busy Bee Cafe

Hey KJ, I am a Georgia native transplanted to Kentucky. Trust me, White Castle and Krystal are two totally different things! I can’t stand White Castle, but they make pretty good tea! That kindof gives you an idea of how tea is made here versus further South. The Castle and McDonald’s have the best tea here!

First of all, the “T” at the end of Sweet is silent to all true southerners. It’s pronounced “Sweetea”

I can’t believe no one (especially the fast food sweet tea lovers) has mentioned McAlister’s Deli. They are by far #1 in my opinion. Best true fast food tea is McDonald’s and best otherwise is Williamson Brothers Barbecue.

I agree with Corndawg, Mrs. Winner’s sweet tea was awesome. I miss it more than the chicken.

Tea was invented by communists and the freemasons to suppress the will of the people. That’s why it is so popular in the south because they want to control us thru tea. they first tried it in the north but they werent having it. Boston tea party anyone? Ask the owner of any place that serves tea about its beginnings and watch them squirm. Don’t be sheeple, drink punch.
